Here's some constructively feedback: 1. Keep doing the current format. Segmenting the video into sections in a video essay style is really great for consumption. 2. Keep doing a script and for the love of god make sure to stick to it. If you find yourself going off script many times, this means that the script has to be rewritten 3. Name each segment like a chapter style and add a text in the beginning with black screen backdrop of each segment with appropriate music transitions. 4. Use video evidence/examples to backup your arguments and points. Makes you look professional 5. Most important of all, stay being yourself and always say your opinion truthfully and never sell out. Even if there's backlash for your opinion, keep doing it. Every reviewer is doing similar stuff (skillup and whoever) and I know you think you can't offer the same quality, but what you can offer is your true honest to God personality. I subscribed to your personality and honesty, and I know I'll keep coming back for it.

I agree with the general sentiment of this comment and there's good advice in here, but let me clarify some things for people who aren't aware: 1) This format is not realistic for most videos. You have to understand, I don't get review copies. Over the course of 6 days, I played over 30 hours of FC6, and recorded about an hour of audio, edited it down, and spent about 12 hours putting the video together in premiere. It's exhausting. 2) Believe it or not, I don't script these videos. I used to, about a year ago, but I sounded too robotic and unnatural and it took too much time. 3&4) Sort of disagree here. Personally, I believe the downfall of youtube was when people kept trying to be more professional, instead of just being people. I wouldn't even have fade to blacks in these videos but I do it for ad breaks. I agree with using clips to support my arguments but this video is too long already. 5) Thanks, man. I can promise you I'll still be me until the day Susan wipes me off the platform.

People criticize Far Cry 5, but I actually felt immersed in Montana. I liked that you could recruit people from every Area to help you liberate the County. They would tell you about the place and were connected to the story. The Deputy and The Father had, despite the silent protagonist, much more chemistry than Dani and Anton. I’m kinda sick of people acting like Anton’s character was mindblowing because it was Giancarlos who played him. Yes he is an awesome actor, but Anton’s character is still kinda boring and empty. That’s not the actor’s fault. Also in this game, you ironically never liberate anything. Every “boss fight” is anticlimactic and has absolutely no consequences for the area. Non of Anton’s figureheads have any importance on a personal level and are as trivially disposed of as they were introduced. After that, military presence is not weakened but increased, which makes sense in the surrounding areas, but not where you basically just kicked them out. The resistance is so obnoxious and often down right disgusting that I honestly didn’t care whether they lose. Diego’s death was sad, but everything else was totally meaningless about the ending. From the looks of it, Yara is probably now worse off, just as Anton said. But who cares right, the quirky woke war criminals, err I mean freedom fighters won yaaaay…

Dr. Gannon, exactly. I love Far Cry 5 so much. Okay, so the story wasn’t as tightly woven as it could have been had the likes of Naughty Dog made this game and it had been a more linear, semi open world instead, but the story was still intriguing and had so much heart. I loved how different each antagonist felt and the areas they had taken over. The fact that we get really up close to these antagonists so that we get to spend time understanding their personalities. I really rooted for the various characters throughout the game that had been oppressed by this cult, because it felt like a community and a lot of them became guns for hire, so even more time was spend with them. In Far Cry 6 I never got a sense community, or a sense of who the antagonists were. All the focus was trumpet blasted towards Giancarlo Esposito…….as if his presence needed anymore extra attention…..everything and everyone else didn’t matter because Ubisoft had already made their money.

The last Far Cry game I bought was Far Cry Primal, and it was actually legitimately good (I recommend playing it on the highest difficulty since it actually changes the way the game is played significantly). If they actually explored more concepts like that instead of "MAN IN JUNGLE DESTROYING SMALL OUTPOSTS AND ENEMY ENCAMPMENTS UNTIL A REVOLUTION", then Far Cry could go somewhere. Primal had interesting survival mechanics, entertaining hunting mechanics, actually challenging crafting mechanics (mostly because of no vehicles so travel took time and patience), and the environment became an obstacle in and of itself. Hell, the first Far Cry was about killing a mad scientist who was creating bio-engineered mutants in his secret volcano lair. They don't have to go this inane, stupid route of "quirky bad guy", "revolutionaries", "paramilitary enemy", "gimmicky vehicles" and recycle it over and over again..................or do they? Now that I think about it, they haven't released very many new IP's at all. Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, they're all sequels. The only new title I recall is The Division, but that was 5 years ago. BUT.....You wanna know the quickest, easiest, simplest way to solve this problem? Most games follow this format, everyone gets upset when developers remake the same game and put a new cover on it, but when they invest in a different format or new IP people don’t like the games and say they’re running out of ideas since it’s not what they’re used to. From sports games, shooters, fighting, rpg’s ….it’s all the same. Very few games have success branching out like a “Mario” did, and even they remade the same game 8 times, just like all other popular games including madden, 2K, COD, Halo, Far Cry, Mortal Kombat… the format sells and they should remake their successful IPs but also use that money and “try” different things even if it doesn’t sell well

His argument is a retarded blood libel. Slavery has made no one rich except slave owners. You know why the South lost the civil war? Because its economy was based on slavery which held back industrialization. Slaves never made America rich. Slavery wasn't responsible for industrialization, which is what actually makes countries wealthy. Not to mention the massive economic and social cost Americans still pay in terms of social programs, maintaining prisons, police, maintaining an entire civil rights legal discrimination bureaucratic infrastructure, constant propaganda, race riots every other decade, and having to abandon their cities because they're too violent to risk living in, and the massive commutes people have to take to avoid said cities when going to work. It's just a shitty attempt to imply American wealth was built on the back of what were effectively serfs farming cotton instead of on the back of factory workers working 16 hours a day and building massive infrastructure. Only valid point he makes is about American hypocrisy, but you can point to actual current American policy and how it conflicts with American moral grandstanding about enemy nations in the here and now. How about the ongoing American support of genocide in the Middle East? Nah, that's a hard target. Better punch down instead. Easier to attack the people who aren't allowed to advocate for themselves than the people who effectively run US foreign policy.

This is a game that could’ve been great. The game’s opening in Esperanza gave me hope as it looked like a highly detailed and branching city as it looked as thought I could travel not just through the streets but also the sewers, buildings and rooftops. It felt like travelling through this hostile environment would require thought and careful consideration of my environment. Then there was the poor scopes and overheating suppressors which made it seem the gameplay would be highly realistic. Checkpoints and guerrilla paths have the impression that travelling around this world the normal way would be a massive risk, like how driving around in Far Cry 2 was very hostile and the vehicles were trash. And then there’s the villain, done by great actor and I was hoping that we’d have a personal rivalry with him. Then I played the actual game. The capital city ended up being a linear corridor and not at all like the opening. The poor weapons felt like they had no bearing on gameplay whatsoever as the game was already easy enough, despite the way your limited. Checkpoints were just mini outposts and with the ability to airdrop I just ended up wing-suiting around the place and there were too few enemies around the place for the world to feel hostile. And Castillo just showed up every so often and was threatening. A great performance by Giancarlo but I felt no connection to him, just a guy I had to deal with. TL;DR, I had so much hope for Far Cry 6, and the elements were there for it to be great, but they still screwed it up.

I know Ubisoft will never do it, but I wish they would make a Far Cry game where you can choose to join the opposition and the missions would change. So instead of burning the drug fields, you prevent the enemy from doing so. Instead of having the leaders giving you missions, the military would offer you missions in exchange for payment and other incentives. Take Far Cry 4 for example: Far Cry 4 had you join Pagan Min if you waited those 10 minutes, but you never got to shoot guns with him. I would have loved it where you go out shooting, the Golden Path attacks, and you have to step in and help take them out while he recuperates. Along the way, you would have been given choices that could change the difficulty and story depending on what is picked. Maybe have a mission where you wipe out a Golden Path encampment and if you did it without blowing everything up, you find out that Bhadra is there. At that point you could let her go, kill her on the spot, or take her with you to use as a hostage. Probably add in a few (I know they are horrible, but bear with me) fetch quests that slowly cause her to see that you are not as bad as others make you out to be. Any time during the story you could still get rid of her if you so choose, but if you kept her alive till the end, you would have her go to school to become something the people of Kyrat need instead of just a religious totem. As for how the Golden Path would act, they would sometimes send in people to try and extract her from wherever you have her placed, but if your defenses are high enough (or you are there to repel them), then they are wary of what they will do for fear of you killing her as an example. Likewise, killing Bhadra would have the Golden Path being more savage in what they do, but they would be rather sloppy in how they handle things. I know there are a fair amount of games where you get to be the "bad guy", but I can't recall any where you get to be them and they happen to be the actual "lesser of two evils" besides the Overlord series.

The designers do good work with the time they have IMO. Far Cry 6’s man made areas really have a ton of detail actually. There are a bunch of people selling art in the game for example, and it’s all unique. When in fact she is probably the most mistreated main character in the entire story. None of This is explained in game you would have to know before hand what these schools are like. Máximas Matanzas looks like a dumpster fire when in truth every one of them is broken in some way, and none of this is properly explained. Outside of Paolo and barley touched on with Paz. The reason I brought up Yara being claimed as a 3rd world country is because it's not. They clearly have factories and processing facilities for regular goods, they have properly paved and multiple fully functioning airports, paved roads, clean water and electricity. It's being called a 3rd world country in name only. The reason none of these things are available to the people of Yara is because the government has seized all of it. When I was a kid in the 90's, and played Quake 2 on pc, the enemies would respond with pain animations when damaged enough. I thought FPS games would evolve beyond that in the future. Well, the future is here, and enemies still just do quick pain animations after being shot, only to recover and continue fighting as if nothing happened. They also fight with little to no concern for their own wellbeing. As if they know they are just disposable obstacles in a video game and nothing more. As a Latin-American, I had mixed feelings on the game, specifically the story. On one hand, I appreciate that they went with a story that's more unique than just some generic cartel for something more focused on Latin Americas political history, but the final story lacks any of the neuance or context to actually capitalize. Things like fascist dictatorships and American imperialism are big parts of Latin American history, which the game does recognize but never really dives into beyond the occasional Esposito monologue. Nothing really makes you care about Yara or question your motives like FC3 does, you're pretty much always on rails character wise. I think that that also contributes to the "wokeness". Just like the wider story, the game makes a big deal about including those things but never takes the time to tie them to the greater narrative. It's corporate wokeness, congratulating themselves for "calling out the issue" without actually doing anything. It's like the video game equivalent of posting a black square on Instagram that magically ended racism. Like they make a point about Racism within the American Dream, but at no point mention the very real racism still a part of Latin America despite having a whole plot revolving on a fascist class system of "true & false Yarans" yet somehow never appears to be actively racist or anti LGBT, both of which were points of major story missions. It's ironic too, that they make a show of how "woke" they are while their examples are reductive 1 dimentional stereotypes. Like Gilberto for example: sure have a openly gay character, but did his whole personality have to be Ru Paul's drag race? And why is his show more important than idk...freeing people in slavery? Or with the transition, sure live your life, but do you need a 1 player army to hold your hand while people are being gassed? Ubisoft put low hanging fruit on a pedestal and called it progress. At least they didn't call everyone "Latin-x"

The shitty Mexico section Act 2 of RDR 1 that was considered where the game lost steam is handled better than this whole plot lol. I literally thought the whole POINT was that these misguided rebels would be making Yara an even worse place to live with their revolution, like Abraham was doing so in RDR and these rebels would just end up becoming dictators themselves because the reason these countries have oppressive regimes isn't just to be evil for evil's own sake. It's the poverty, lack of opportunity and education that makes the economy dependent on natural resources which incentivizes unskilled mass labor for the nation to stay economically viable while public amenities and higher order works don't matter like here in the West and just maybe destabilizing the whole fucking region, killing thousands of soldiers (who just want to feed their families and are sons themselves) and tearing down the established order no matter how brutal it was, was only undoing the harsh, but necessary work of clawing out of national poverty on the global stage (Esposito's character even references the West having turned a blind eye to Yara's plight, but still criticizes them every chance they get.... sounds familiar...) Their actions as history shows just would make the current situation worse once Dani Rojas is left to make policy and sees how fucking hopeless the economic future of Yara is WITHOUT basically resorting to mass slavery. Esposito out the door, new dictator in. Nothing was done to address the base issue of why regimes exist. ... but as usual not a shred of awareness from Ubisoft

I've been playing this game for the last 3 weeks, some stuff i noticed: - there is lower map interaction in fights compared to far cry 5, you can't pick up bricks, throw gas can bombs, shovels etc. from the ground - i really don't know who tested item ranks but most of them are completely useless. Let's take bullets for example, rank 1 armor penetration bullets can carry you for the entirety of the game (i've been using them since the beginning and never took them off), and they work surprisngly better than let's say, explosive ones on vehicles, which is insane... - there are almost no random encounter missions storylines / easter eggs with unique rewards compared to far cry 5 *cough cough* trip to mars *cough* - map doesn't feel hostile at all, it's like going out for a walk with extra steps (i believe far cry 5 had the same issue, but at least there after a certain amount of points you would get kidnapped by the zone villain, in this game it feels like Castillo, apart from few cutscenes, doesn't even know you exist until the final moments) - amigos are somewhat broken, sometimes they just disappear (probably because they die or something, but game doesn't tell you) and you forget they even exist most of the times since they are not that useful - the race challenges (time challenges in general) are not even real challenges, usually you end up with like 1 extra minute, what the fuck? - sometimes you can't shoot the driver's head on vehicles from the sides... idk - bow feels ridicolously underpowered compared to the rank 3 sniper (what a shame, i loved using bows) - anti aircraft sites with fucking uranium have... less guards than regular roadblock outposts?? - some areas in the game (mainly small islands on the sides) are completely empty and useless... - you don't have many choice options, game ending is linear (you only have one plus the secret one) and some characters cease to exist after they served their purpose (where did the montero girl's brother go? Which consequences would McKay's death have? WHERE THE FUCK IS BEMBÈ???) Final considerations: - as woke as it could be i think it made sense there were more women in this particular chapter since castillo's army mainly used to draft men (you can notice it on the cutscene where castillo talks about the female captain being the only high rank female in his army) - the "class" thing idea was nice, but they didn't fully apply it here, as long as you have grade 3+ items you're fine - the outside enviroment in this game is more destructible (yes i'm talking about you stupid palm trees, i don't need to push my car every 30 seconds now) - I really wish they gave more influence on the zone leaders over the main character like far cry 5, holy shit in there the military one even ends up brainwashing you from an animal cage

Ubisoft needs to bring back brothers in arms.. I remember playing road to hill 30 being like 12 years old and going holy fuck. The brutality of war they portrayed in that game was insane... The ability to control individual teams, tell them were to move, what targets to attack. Fuck man I miss that game. I still play it to this day.

i gotta admit having a gator as a side kick sounds badass, having it hiss to scare guards or distract them, attacking and killing a guard of course for some sort of simultaneous takedown or regular combat, or even having him have some sort of alpha animal trait to draw in other wild aligators as back up for a base raid, like ace ventura if he fucking lost it

Thank you for actually talking about the gameplay so in depth. There are countless game critics on this platform who hand out review scores based on the cut - scenes and voice actors ONLY. Seriously - When did gameplay become irrelevant to so many people??? This has been driving my bat shit crazy for 10 years now. Look at the reviews for games like Uncharted or The Last of Us. ( Angry Joe pulls this shit all the time ) .... Characters and story do not give a game replay value. I replayed The Last of Us more than once - because of the GAMEPLAY - because like.... We are gamers.... who like... PLAY GAMES! I would greatly appreciate any insight into this issue. It's fucking annoying me to tears. Uncharted 4 was a complete dumpster fire - I'm sorry, but that "game" was nothing more than a slightly interactive 12 hour Hollywood production.

@@josetheragood3213 Jose - Shit! I was thinking about trying that game out. Nobody said it was a masterpiece but most said the controls/gameplay was decent. So... Not worry it, eh? .... Another thing I'm getting fed up with - Shitty controls in favor of more realistic animations ( Red Dead Redemption 2 is a joke ) Rockstar always gets a free pass. GTA games have had clumsy gameplay for 20 years now. The lag time is soooooo bad. Most people who bought that game gave up. Everybody bought it - virtually nobody saw it through to the end. It takes 12 seconds to loot a body.... 20 seconds to skin an animal.... Who the hell has the time and patience for that shit? Aurther Morgan walks like he's 94 years old.... I can't do it... I can't take it anymore.

That's why I love this channel so much - We need more synthetic men. Nobody ever complained about storyline and characters 20 years ago.... If a game has a good story - It's just a nice perk. Nothing more. Nothing less. I would make an exception for The Last of Us 2 however.... That was just... just...just.... I don't even know anymore.... I think we got trolled. I don't want to get into some conspiratorial bullshit - but I genuinely believe we got played. The writers knew what they were doing. They knew how people would react. Drama, controversy, "bad publicity"... Those 3 things pay the bills just as easily.... They did that shit intentionally - a dog and pony show. I'll bet they were laughing all the way to the bank.

The ironic thing about some of the populist factions Ubisoft puts in games is that they are hinted to be worst than what ever old guard corrupt thing you work to destroy who have at least some plan to maintain stability, at least it was heavily hinted in Wildlands.

God hearing that Far Cry 2 soundtrack kick in gives me goosebumps. Always going to be the absolute high point of the series. I genuinely wish they'd go back to that unforgiving gritty style of gameplay instead of it all being a ridiculous power fantasy. Either that or just lean into that aspect and make another Blood Dragon-esque title.

I really can't wait for these AAA companies to go the way of the dinosaurs, so hopefully we can get out of this dark age of woke gaming!
@SyntheticMan3 жыл бұрын
Not trying to be a doomer, but I wouldn't hold your breath. The mantra "Get woke, go broke", only applies in specific cases where a game clearly crosses a line that alienates casual gamers. Most AAA games have become progressively more woke over time, but have done so slowly enough that those casuals don't even notice, or have accepted those ideals being pushed. Even if Far Cry sales decline (which iirc, FC5 had the highest sales in the franchise), Ubisoft will just tweak the formula enough that people will buy it again. Games aren't made for gamers anymore. They're made for John Smith who plays COD a few hours each week with his buddies, or little Bobby who plays Fortnite with his friends after school.
