@cousinoftheflame017 күн бұрын
I once made a stop motion animation based off of Slope, where the player started at 37 points and appeared into the camera at 38 points on a snake before going onto some hor platforms. The player dodged the hors on slopes 39, 40 and 41 but died on slope 42. Then I went into the actual game to get a score of 42, took a picture of it and added it to the end of the video. I created it on July 22nd, 2022 but didn’t post on KZbin until October 25th, 2023, and it somehow blew up, hitting nearly 2.5K views in less than two days (for me that’s a lot because my channel is extremely small lol). To this day it has still remained by far my most viewed video. I just wanted to share that because I thought it was a pretty interesting personal story that’s also related to Slope Also Hooded Kupo actually commented on that video and said “Even in stop motion those annoying horizontal moving blocks kill you…” Hooded Kupo if you see this thanks for commenting, it made my day now realizing you were the founder of a Slope Discord server

The double map glitch can be extended to have as many maps as you want (if you can keep pulling off the timing). The more you do it, the laggier the game gets, which I've found makes the timing easier (up until another glitch where you die at the start starts happening).

9:03 this happens because of the 32-bit float integer, The precision is 0.00000001, Since you move further into the game, the precision points add up and the game becomes less and less precise, Thats what causes that to happen

Man I loved this video. The editing is great, I graduated in May and if there's anything that would summarize my nostalgia for school, it was playing slope or minecraft in class instead of learning. It sucks that kids won't ever really get to enjoy playing games in class anymore like that, since flash is largely defunct and most monitoring plugins don't allow other flash plugins and they ban just about every single game website. I know the video's a bit old but good job, subbed and I hope to see more cool stuff like this.
@Gameboy_X33 күн бұрын
The reason that the ball glitches out the further it is in the void is due to the floating point, where the closer something is to the 64 bit integer limit, the more broken and demented things become.

I don’t know if you covered this or I already forgot what you said, but there’s a glitch that makes the map duplicate. The window to do it is really small, and you can only do it when you die. 9:05 this is because slope, like many games, use a floating point value to determine the position of the player. once it hits an integer limit of distance (usually 32 bit limit) the game will start to big because the position of the player starts to literally break
@macksnotcool5 күн бұрын
You're getting two different issies mixed up. Yes, it is an issue with floating points, no it has nothing to do woth the integer limit. The issue is called a floating point precision issue. A computer can only store so much information as a number. So to solve this, with decimals the further from zero the number is is, the less precise the number is. This is reflected in the rendering of the geometry.

4:00 This glitch would actually work endlessly. You could get infinite maps on top of eachother, but if you messed it up once it went back to normal. It is a good way of getting crazy amounts of points really early, but it is very difficult and sometimes impossible to navigate and eventually spreads out enough to stop awarding you extra points.
