i might cry. this game was my childhood favourite - i used to call it "sly fox" because i couldnt read the word cooper and i thought he was a fox, and i was very bad at video games so i'd watch (force) my brothers play it 24/7. seeing this video makes my heart soar

It's crazy I used to play this on PlayStation, I saw a meme on instagram of Sly Cooper. Just brought me back some memories, I remember like it was yesterday!

I remember first playing Sly Cooper 1 and 2 on Playstation 2 when I was in late elementary school (5th grade for Sly Cooper 1 and in late 2002) and in middle school (7th grade for Sly Cooper 2 and in late 2004). Those were the days. I am now 32 years of age now. But, if I had children, I would have them play Sly Cooper.

If there were to be a 5th & final Sly Cooper game this is what I'd like the plot to be: Bentley, Murray, Carmelita, & Dimitri get a scientist owl to help them build a time machine to go back in time to rescue Sly by using his DNA to track him. But once they find Sly they can only come forward a little at a time, & every time they stop they encounter another Cooper member that they have to help. They could even have Penelope return, but this time as the pirate Black Beard. By the 5th or 6th level, we finally have Sly meet his father, but since Sly knows his father has to die, he's conflicted on whether to try to save him or let him die again. Meanwhile, the owl scientist who helps rescue Sly gets injured through these adventures with the Cooper Gang & he builds a robot body for himself, which we later find out is Clockwork. At the end of the game, Sly & the rest of the gang make it back to the present, but Clockwork steals the time machine, goes back in time, & he gets revenge on what happened to him by making it his life's work to go after the Cooper family. Through this 5th & final game, the story comes full circle as Sly inadvertently created his family's mortal enemy in the form of a bootstrap paradox. The game ends with Sly & Carmelita finally getting together as a couple with Sly ending his life as a thief so he can have a family with her.

The Sly Cooper Video game series is my favorite ever. I feel a fifth should be made, by the original developers, to tie in the story and wrap it with a bow. Bentley and Murray could have children, a family, and it could be about them all building their own community and starting their own country themselves, like most of the villains they fight do, but for good. Out of all the ancestors that Sly has, I've always been fascinated by Salim Al Kupar. His very skills in climbing, stealth, his Arabian skill set makes him a unique thief! Not only did he roll with Alibaba and the 40 thieves, but he was basically a master thief amongst them and had a good ending! I don't think clockwerk killed him though, and I just hope that he Did not kill him at least.

Good playthrough overall but c'mon man! You didn't use the full potential of the characters and their abilities, especially the stealth kill for Sly. And you don't always have to run from a fight, they have so many moves you could've used.
