Doku did well but his final ball and decision making needs work and time, I would love to see Osca Bobb getting a full game on the right instead. He is all but impossible to get the ball off with close control on par with David Silva, but more important he can see and deliver passes on the money an still get back and defend when needed.

Foden really stepped up to the plate and took the game by the reins. What a performance. Ortega was fantastic in goal, he's far too good to be just a back up goalie. I fear he'll be gone in the summer. Gvardiol is just getting better and better every game. I think we've got player who we'll be putting up there with the best defenders to have ever played for city. Akanji hands down the best value for money signing, City have ever purchased. Doku looked very good on that right wing. He looked a lot more composed. Jacky Grealish was immense, we really have missed his presence in games. He only could of topped it by getting on the scoresheet. Godri is just Godri. No one is near this mans level. One of the best performances of the season. C'mon Citeh!

This has been a rebuilding season as we all know. But it was also an experimental season in my opinion....especially in the first half of the season we were mixing things up so much to find the new players' fit into the system. And maybe it's just me but our backs seem to be much more involved in the attack now as well. We still have poor quality passing into the box. And at times I feel that one or two extra passes in and around the box instead of shooting hurts us. With all the experimenting I wish Pep used his bench more ....Rodri, Bernado, need more rest.

I think it is a little harsh on Alvarez. He was dragging CBs out of position therefore giving spaces for other players. See Foden and Rodri’s goals . He gave the free kick to Phil Foden.

The wide play is what we were truly missing this season We had that with Mahrez last season We kept that wide play Recently we try to penetrate through the middle that's why we coming off with less goals or no goals So I think playing both Jack and Jeremy is something we need more

I was saying this at the Arsenal match, we need width so it opens up the half space for our attacking midfielders to operate in. Let Haaland drag a centre back towards the half way circle and exploit the space behind. We didn't do this against Arsenal and with their low block no wonder it was a crap boring low chance game.

Villa played narrow to the width of the penalty area to encourage wing play. It wasn't actually a bad ploy and in the first half was quite effective. Given the team they fielded it was inevitably going to fail eventually though.

I love ederson and we shouldn’t replace him until he wants to leave/ retire…. but with that being said, I can’t wait for us to find a gk that has decent ball playing ability while having the shot stopping ability of Ortega (especially 1v1’s). Key ingredient? Villa playing a mix of their second team and youth team. City haven't suddenly turned a corner. Foden didn't just hit a new height. City played a team that is picking it's battles. It makes sense. Despite the fact that Villa comprehensively outplayed City at Villa Park, they aren't going to the Etihad with a depleted team and winning. City are already the best team in the world. So I don't know why you guys are latching onto this game. The likely outcome would be a loss and a knackered team. At best a draw and a knackered team. Villa can't afford that. When your resources are limited you have to choose in which battles to deploy your best resources. If Villa go on to win the next few games it will be worth it.
