These are 2150/2250 players. I honestly don’t think it looks that different at higher ELO. At this map size, so much is luck based and where your resources generate. Even if it’s Viper on the other side, I don’t know how JonSlow loses with that map.

The best thing about this series and the small scale games is that the majority of them are close fought affairs so well worth watching through, but most importantly, are short games, so you can watch them when you have a spare 15 minutes or so during a stressful work day or otherwise without having to commit an extensive amount of time to it. Definitely needs to be a regular thing here.

Super balanced, red barely can have access to gold (and the one avaliable is at the edge of the map making it less accesible for vills) while blue has tons of safe, well protected and easily accesible mines

T90 -- I LOVE these tiny maps! Suggestions: 1.) Don't zoom in. The beauty of these maps is you can watch BOTH bases develop at the same time. 2.) Consider banning towers & castles to aviod the one-dimentional strategy. 3.) Post more tiny map games!

One critical thing T90 ignored was how Rmcoo had to buy stone to repair his castle AFTER already buying the castle. JonSlow was in a way better position to go Imp after all that. When JonSlow dropped that Tower the game was already decided because how unfair the map generation was. The castle after that was enough to keep Rmcoo off his resources completely. If Rmcoo had enough resources to immediately pressure Jon this would have been different. Market is strong only for a short boost or with tons of gold income. There were so many tiny things going better for Jon. Only potential advantage Rmcoo had was space due to not having ponds and his resources being towards the edges and the middle (except berries)

On one hand I love this small map thing, on the other, it has a HUGE issue with res balance - in the previous match Jon Slow has super unlucky gen of map and lost, now Rmcoo got stone close to the enemy, thus no way of sustaining the defense long term and lost.

Damn I thought this was a civ win for Rmcoo, 4 boars and deer so close to the TC as mongols is a very powerful buff. He should have anticipated rams though and made some mangudai preemptively to counter the rampush.

rm is on the clock. jon could take it easy since rm got the unlucky stone/gold spawn in the mid lol. tower then castle denying those mid tiles. the repair + castle killing enemy vils was a good play from jon

You can only kill dear with ranged units. Sheep or boar could be killed

Can you put petards into rams? I think that JonSlows map was much better with his gold and stone being in the back. Had rmcoo have a stone pile in the back, he would not have had to buy all the stone and could have had much more ressources to repair the castle, making it to imperial age and then killing Jon with trebuchets.

Couldve seen the Petards coming. Just fit a gate in between the castle and the gold, blocking the entrance. And later, he should've shot the ram-repair vills with the castle and sold everyone and his mother for stone to keep the castle up.
