Lol you cracked me up talking about how you are looking for tiny fish. Also, I agree, those sunnies with the broken lines and blue/orange pattern are super pretty and fight hard. I believe you're right when you say Pumpkinseed but I am not 100% sure. Might need to do some studying :)

What pound test were you using? Such a light jig seems like it would take forever to sink but it looked like it was getting down the water column pretty good.

I was using 2lb test. It did take quite a while to sink, but luckily the pond is shallow and the fish were aggresive. Probably would go to a heavier jig in anything over 10 feet of water or so. Patience is not one of my strong suits, haha.

Haha yeah! Had that one crush it in 6 seconds. And one bit without the jig even tipped with anything. The gills were definitely fired up to feed!
