Really love the mix of humour with the teaching. I'd like to sign up for the mouth trumpet course now please.

And to spice it up even further, the first chord of the song, and the second to last chord of the song, (the last time you sing the word "softly" each time you do the chorus) is Fmaj7#11, which is 102200 on the EADGBe tuning! :)

Love the mouth trumpeting. I have to go mow my lawn now. Been watching camper videos all day.
@RyanLendt Жыл бұрын
you should mouth trumpet while you mow and see what the neighbors say

lol 4:10 you laughed, and so did i, but still, you also play the "trumpet" very well(seriously)!! 😂anyway thanks for sharing, i'm trying to expand my "around the fire" repertoire, and depending on the group, this can be a really good one!!

Roberta did make this song famous but shout out to Lori Lieberman for writing this song!

I don’t know if it was intentional, but this tune was written about don mclean who wrote American Pie. You mentioned both songs begin with the chorus. Weird, huh?! Love the lessons!

Most covers of Killing Me Softly With His Song (for instance Fugees, Roberta Flack) start with the chorus (strumming my pain with his fingers) but Lori Lieberman's original starts with the first verse (I heard he sang a good song).

Great song.....boring theory question here. From most of the chords here, I would say this is in the key of G - but then there is the A, the F, and E chords? Why do they work together? Is it in the key of G?
@RyanLendt Жыл бұрын
it's been a minute so it's not fresh - but i would categorize this song as being one that meanders between two keys and uses the leading tones from the "wrong" chords to lead into the other key and back.

Sorry to say this but I find your trumpeting more impressive than the guitar playing itself😂. Great tutorial tho……you’ve really helped me to “cheat” on this song with easier chords❤
