What an amazing contribution, in every way musically, Billy Corgan has made to the canon of American rock music. One of the few musicians I can think of who will likely gain far more praise and recognition in the long term future than he does in his own time.

yes. Billy is a Musical Genius. Jimmy a beast. James is so nice shoegazing With his guitar and his beautiful long hair. D'arcy is the woman i dream to love. She beautiful. I'm 38 French born in 1985. When i was ten. My syster born in 1980 let me come to her room and was 16 in 1996. She makes me discover 90's rock music at 10. Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Garbage, Radiohead with OK Computer (what a masterpiece...God...) AND The Smashing Pumpkins with MCIS. She buy Gish and Siamese Dream the same year 1996. AND They are everything for me. From Gish to Machina...Then Zwan...I got Zeitgeist, Oceania...Good Corgan music...BUT Gish to Machina...I can't explain. That's a mix between hearing the CD's or tapes in my walkman during road trip with my parents. FROM 10 to 15 in 2000 when they broke apart. This is THE BAND ,the music for me from the age when you quit being a child but in 1995 at 10 we were not teenagers, grown kids, but no teenagers. This band is the link between my childhood and being a teenager a 15 when i begin to smoke weed with my friends, Drinking alcohol in parties or clubs. The first friends older who got their first cars at 18 when i was 16. THE SMASHING PUMPKINS ARE MY FAV OF COURSE AND THE LAST ROCK BAND. Rock was not the same except some underground bands but i never listen Rock music after the SP. From Pink Floyd, the dark side of the moon, then punk music, post-punk, new wave, dark wave, cold wave, shoegaze, grunge AND the T.O.P. of Rock music, personnaly the Last REAL ROCK MUSIC BAND AND THE BEST. MY HEART, MY LIFE, I'm Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and Adore. THAT'S MY SOUL in this 2 albums. AFTER THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, I can't no more love new rock music. And that's the same period in 2003 at 18 when i discover Lil Wayne and Southern Rap music. I loved NY (Rip DMX, Prodigy from Mobb deep), LA sound ( G-funk) But when i see Lil Wayne in a 1999 music video from Juvenile in 2003, I see in this kid The future. In 2005, I was in Worcester, MA near Boston 2 months July and August. I was 20. with my first long time relationship gf. I buy all Cash Money discography : All lil wayne albums : From tha Block is Hot to Carter 1, Juvenile best-of, B.G. independent albums ( the 2005 album was called "the heart of the streetz"), Then from 2005 to 2012 i was listening Only Southern Rap music (GUCCI MANE, ATL rappers T.I. Travis porter, Gucci 1017 label rappers, Future, Young Scooter, Houston Z-Ro, Trae tha Truth, A.B.N. Mike Jones, Louisiana Lil Boosie, Memphis 3/6 Mafia, Lil Wyte all Hypnotyze minds artists and always... NEW ORLEANS LIL WAYNE was LIKE BILLY CORGAN. MY TWO FAV MUSICAL ARTISTS. Rock from Windy Chicago to Rap from hot and dirty N.O. Then i discover in 2012 a new guy from Memphis my fav rap music city : YOUNG DOLPH 🐬 (1985 like me - 2021) R.I.P. DOLPH king of Memphis. He became my 3rd Musical Genius with BILLY CORGAN 1st and LIL WAYNE 2nd. When he die murdered in his Hometown in 2021, I was 36. I stop listening or searching new artists, new bands. As a lil 38 years old French man, Music i here begin with "Dark Side of the Moon" then stop with 2021 Young Dolph last album out in the summer before his death in Autumn. So From 1970 Pink Floyd to 2021 Young Dolph with 2005 to 2009 Lil Wayne, the best years of my life 20 y old 2005, 25 in 2010 and the best Lil Wayne Era. I can say i got a large musical style with The Pistols, Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, Mothers love Bone, Nirvana, Dave Grohl, Radiohead Cocteau Twins, The Cure, The Smiths, Some Oasis or Blur songs. House Music, 90's Dance Music, Celine Dion, French singer/composer JJ Goldman et 100 others artists or bands, NOTHING IN MY SOUL, MY HEART, MY GUTS, MY BORDERLINE BRAIN, NOTHING IS ABOVE THIS 4 CATS : Billy, Jimmy, James and D'arcy ❤ the most beautiful girl in the world... I can appreciate the heavy approach and different tuning because its like a different song from the original which keeps things interesting . Anyone who thinks this version sucks should give it another chance abd look at it differently. I love this version

Bruh, this ain't as heavy as you think - and the album version ain't as clean and quiet as you think. These amps are in tube overdrive. It's an inexact science. The tubes are being driven by volume....in an arena, the necessary volume is greater than a studio. I'm a guitar player, I'm telling you...if you want to criticize the band you love for playing their own music the way they wrote it....then you're the Dikk.

Is not terrible. Its different. They transposed the song 1 note higher with some arrangements on the tempo and some other features. That was during the time Chamberlin was fired from the band and replaced him with a drum machine, the Filter drummer and some other guys. The album song is very hard to replicate live as they used a Vox amp to record the guitar tracks and some other effects. I think Billy mentioned that years ago during an interview of his gear and a demonstration.
