So many songs on this album can be labeled as leftovers from certain albums. Open The Floodgates, Speech Bubbles, and Waving A White Flag are so painfully A Moon Shaped Pool Pana-vision, Thin Thing and ESPECIALLY Bodies Laughing (Unreleased, played live during this tour) sound like they are In Rainbows B-sides. Now that you mention it, this really does sound like an acoustic song off TKOL, I can hear it.

People aren't giving Tom Skinner enough credit! Guy's not only a fantastic jazz drummer, he's been a producer and fixture in the London underground scene for seriously like 20 years. In fact, if you pay attention, a lot of band materials (i.e. posters) put his name first! I think a lot of people are acting like this is Thom and Johnny with some drummer who happens to be good, but Skinner is way more than that.

Totally agree, saw them last friday in Amsterdam and I'm soo happy I managed to buy an overpriced ticket on the "black market" because it was very likely the best concert of my 45 yr old life. This album played life, with the sound quality that they arranged and all the "extras" that you mencioned, Jonny playing the harp and whole commitment that these guys still put in a life concert after all these years, its just mindblowing. Its a bit corny but I really feel privileged to be an "all things about Thom Yorke" fan. This guy single handed made me realize that its ok to be "different" in my most important and fragil stage in my life...my teenager years and now after 30 yrs he's still there very much present like a very trusted and reliable friend. Amazing stull...happy days 🙏

@@luispinheirodosmontes7219 right, i feel so lucky to have gotten to see them perform live. Yet, something that bothers me a bit, is that i wish i could’ve been born early enough to be able to see radiohead become radiohead and like be a part of their younger lives and all that. But since I’m 16 I lost that opportunity. I do have the luck of growing up in an online world though, which gives me the possibility to watch old interviews and old concerts and stuff like that. Overall im just really happy i discovered them while they are still touring and releasing new music. I feel so so lucky to live in the same timeline as radiohead.

@@rs6000_ Notes From Underground is my favorite book and perhaps the most existentially dismal piece of literature you’ll find, but it is equally hopeful. Somehow in the truth of that wretchedness, catharsis is found. When something doesn’t go anywhere, it’s void of soul. That’s how I’m experiencing these songs, not spiritually engaging.

@@gw8813 I’m not looking for anything it’s just odd when something so beautifully crafted lacks meaning and flavor. A good piece of work guides you and you go with it. I’m really trying to like this band but we’re not going anywhere except deeper into despair. I think the artists are bored.

Interesting take on it. I think that music, as every art form, is a potential carrier for emotions, thoughts and expressions the listener want or need to feel, think and live. I found these songs deeply cathartic, made me cry multiple times and made me realise deep truths about myself and the life situations i was and am in. you found them a beautifully packaged lack of emotions. both are equally valid and true. I think this is what makes music and art in general such a powerful yet incontrollable force of nature. maybe one day you will find some new truth and meaning in these songs, as I did with music I initially didn't really like. ☀️✌🏼

It's too bad that I enjoy these guys' music but they always instill me with with such a sense of guilt that I can barely take it. Sometimes I wonder if I'm going schizophrenic based on the hectic nature of the internet and the consistently terrifying metaphysical ideas that try to burn themselves into my head, I keep trying to empty it all out to stay in touch with reality, live my life in a way that's honest, empathetic and ideally inspiring, but so much of what I listen to in an attempt to find answers or new inspiration for art isn't just eerie, it's frighteningly accusatory. My impressions of this album: "For some reason I'm trying not to like it as much as I do." IDK if its some dumb loyalty to Radiohead as a full unit or what, but as a side project (is it tho?) this is awfully good. Loving Tom Skinners stick work.

This gives me like... These are my Twisted Words mixed with I Might be Wrong, in terms of guitar tone.

Lyrics: Turned so nasty now The dark cell The pillar of my soul The last one out of the box The one who broke the spell Little by little by hook or by crook I'm such a tease and you're such a flirt Once you've been around you've been around enough Little by little by hook or by crook Never living earnest, never get judged I'm no idiot, I should look Your clue on hold, the flag and pole I'm curling with my love The last one out of the box The one who broke the seal Obligations Complications Routines and schedules A job that's killing you Killing you Little by little by hook or by crook Never living earnest, never get judged I don't know where it is I should look Little by little by hook or by crook I am such a tease, and you're such a flirt

It’s a Radiohead album without Ed, Phil and Colin and I’m good with that.
