My god man. This music has to be so hard to make. Seriously. I make music and I understand what needs to go into it... and the amount of different shit going on and ever changing parameters and they are all thoughtful.. and man the songwriting jives perfectly with the production. I absolutely love that towards the beginning of the song you kind of wonder "where is this going" and by the last third of it it all makes sense and comes together. What an oddly beautiful piece. Feels like another left turn from these guys. Thank you.

I'm trying to learn how to play this song on guitar, and it's one of the most challenging things ever! I mean... the chords are easy, but the way they are executed, following the rythm, taking into account that there's a different arpeggy pattern for each chord, it's feels so unpredictable! And singing while playing... well... I guess I need an extra brain 😅

I’ve been blown away today. I saw the middle London performance(In the round live concerts) from my living room(the highlight and gift of the pandemic) but getting to digest it today was so grand and affecting. It’s just that good, other level, this long in my tooth. It has wrapped much of my music’s evolution from the 15 year old metal kid record store clerk to that wonder when you’ve peaked behind the curtain of what was possible in music and the way you’re never the same after experiencing particular works of art. Thank you 🙏

@dickmonkey-king1271

Why is a song being in 11/8 a big deal? It's not hard to do. The hardest thing to do in music is to write a good song, and that's the only thing that matters. Time signatures aren't important. It's just a count. Why is something 11 beats long more impressive than 4 beats long?

I was thinking about the same thing yesterday! The compositions in these album are something else, I remember in an interview for this record Jonny said something along the lines of "we've learned to trust the things that don't make any sense" - which i think is a compositional maturity you can really hear here, the chord progressions are very unpredictable yet they still work. In general I'm very impressed with the compositional creativity of this album.
