Once the trumpet is heard, it can never be unheard

Let’s not forget the music of Johnny Marr. Without him Morrissey would just be a poet.

I seen the Smiths in Boston in 1985 and they were the best concert I have ever seen,they were just the best,I have seen Morrissey 26 times,I love him,but he just can't get what I seen in 1985,just number 1

Andy Rourke was sooo underrated as a bassist.
@Buzzjugs11 ай бұрын
He was highly regarded. I wouldn't say underrated, that term is overused when referring to many highly rated musicians.

Makes me think more of an 80's Sergeant Pepper! Really love hearing early demos from great bands.

Brilliant lyrics, some of Moz's best and you gotta love that little instrumental interlude at 0:39 It's such a unique song this one.

Great version of this song. Andy's bass is more present on early recordings than on the actual records, as if they tried to hide his sound.
@WillieWagglestick8 жыл бұрын
+gbw52 Yeah i've thought that too about the early demos.
@arsmoriendish6 жыл бұрын
I think it more likely that Johnny Marr hadn't quite perfected his guitar lines (which is clear from this demo) and so it's more that Marr is buried in these than Andy Rourke is eventually hidden in the eventual studio recordings. I think The Smiths' basslines are generally more prominent in the mix than most groups' anyway. I can hear the bass extremely clearly in the finished product.

gbw52 I was thinking the same and that’s a shame. His playing is superb.

Morrissey's voice has rapidly improved with time & through the decades his work especially since Boz became band leader has been astonishing,but as he always say's since You are the quarry tour : he does value the song's from his short career with The smith's 😀
