In Johnny rogan’s brilliant biography on The Smiths called ‘Morrissey & Marr the severed alliance’ this mythical event is eulogised and rightly so. Just different. Morrissey is more conservative or centrist and Johnny Marr is extreme Left/Liberal. Can't really get on well with polar values. Sad, but it happens. My ex-friend was a fellow drummer and we were super close until I went a little too extremely conservative around 2016 when Trump beat Clinton and it made him go extremely left and he basically after years of friendship blocked me. I admit I got caught up in the whole counter culture wave of it all. Looking back, it got everyone going one way or another. Now, it's sad when I see we all just want anyone rather than the world leaders the world has now.

Unfortunately Marr is a cowardly virtue-signaller whereas Moz is intelligent and confident enough to speak his mind. Marr is too afraid to be associated with Stephen again less he fall foul of the Guardian and BBC crowd.

I guess most of the people who read all the comments will wanna know the name of the song that plays Marr in the movie ... I wanna save your time reading all the posts: the title of the songs is "M32" played by the director himself under the name A Jumped into the pantry boy.

@sunsetman224 жыл бұрын
this is literally the end of the movie. you'd think that a scene like this would be sitting at the first quarter of the film, but nope. the film centers around the life of Morrissey before The Smiths, not the actual formation of the band. that's mostly because Moz didn't want any of his music to appear on the movie.
@kid294 жыл бұрын
It’s not a well made or accurate film it’s way off
@sunsetman224 жыл бұрын
@@kid29 yeah, I think Moz did the right thing by not allowing the music into the film. in my opinion, this project was doomed to mediocrity from the start. it just exists to try and capitalize on the band's popularity, yet it fails miserably at the things its supposed to do. I'm not even a big Smiths or Morrissey fan, but it would've been nice to see their story be told in a better way.

the guitar on the background is poorly strumming through various smiths songs, as if they're writing it and struggling. starts at 0:35 with "the boy with the thorn on his side", switches to "bigmouth strikes again", then briefly goes to "there's a light that never goes out" before being cut off by Johnny playing the record.
@Enterstainers4 ай бұрын
@@TheKlauspc It's me or my friend in the background messing with our guitars, for some reason it recorded background sound as well as the video, no idea why. We weren't even playing songs, just random jamming, it's strange that you isolated three Smiths songs from that playing. lol
