Appreciate the information at the end there bud. I was leaning towards getting them. But I don't think they would be that practical for my needs.

Awesome video Justin! Hey I just did some research. Snap On used to make those speed wrenches with double open ends. One end was a regular open end with the flank drive plus, the other side was the speed open end. They made them in MM and SAE. Just type in snap on speed wrench on eBay and you'll see them. I keep checking for a complete set of SAE and I'll buy them in a heartbeat. Not only line fittings like you mentioned, these would be fantastic for replacing grease fittings. And I do a ton of those basterds! Thanks Junkie, keep it up!

Justin D thanks Justin I might have to look those up to see because the ones in our waste of money
@justind60397 жыл бұрын
The Snap-On Junkie!!! Agree. Where you need these are places you can't get a closed end on so why make these with the box ratchet side? The double open end with one side flank drive the other speed makes all the sense in the world. Why SO pulled those from production is annoying. Oh well, that's why there is eBay. 👍

Dude, that toolbox is nuts. I can see those wrenchs being useful on hydraulic fittings too. Those times it's broke loose but has oil on it and you still can't turn it by hand. It would need to be double ended and really short for that though. Happy birthday bro.

traded in my regular ratcheting wrenches for the ones in this video probably 6 months ago or so and they are probably the most used tool in my kart, other than air tools. ratcheting end is great for wherever my impact wont go and the open end is awsome for holding a nut on the backside while impacting. doesnt matter where the wrench goes on the nut it'll find a home once you hit the gun, therefore you dont need as much room and its faster.

Could see the speed wrenches being good for alignments
@chrisohare10307 жыл бұрын
they did make them without the ratcheting end which had a normal box end instead I've got a set i picked up a few year ago. 4.37 in my old toolbox tour video

Do you have a part number on those pocket screwdrivers with the valve core remover or know where to buy one? I have been looking everywhere for one of those. I work in a tire shop and am constantly looking for the shop's valve core remover.
@JUSTINSTURGILLTRUCKING7 жыл бұрын
Jeremy May On my snap on guy gave it to me I am I will ask him for a part number the next time I see him and get back to you but he gave it to me oh that was like his free screwdriver giveaway that they have on the truck so you might want to ask your snap on guy if they have one

I've made a set of those with an older chinese set that were SAE just for one job. Thought I might need them in the future but I've NEVER had to use them again and I think all I used was the 5/8. I like and understand the concept but it's just not really practical unless you work on hydroids or some other kind of fitting like those. I'm sure a guy with a couple of dump trucks could use them every now and again. Might save his ass one day...
@Garage7327 жыл бұрын
Nice video but they made these as regular combos years ago. They are great when you can't get a ratcheting box end on the nut.

They make them with a non ratcheting 12 point box end as well. I have one.
@woodsracing137 жыл бұрын
I think those wrenches would be better with a just a normal box end so you can break the bolt loose. I don't like to use ratcheting wrenches for breaking a blot or nut loose. just my opinion. but I don't ever see myself buying those wrenches anyways. haha
@samrijsmus7 жыл бұрын

Whats your view on Blue Point? I have been looking into the cheaper prices but are they the same?
@JUSTINSTURGILLTRUCKING7 жыл бұрын
Gabriel Lord no the Bluepoint is not the same as snap on they are the Taiwan made tools there kind of similar to like a gear wrench type stuff what if you're an entry-level technician there a good choice to get you started

Definitely not a fan of those wrenches. Too expensive for A very specific use.
