What does evetech do with the stock cooler if you buy a prebuild with watercooling ?
@evetechtv4 ай бұрын
It should be supplied with your machine so ask the prebuild team to make sure its there

For this reason a standard cooler does not get given as the CPU is what we call an OEM unit which does not include one. which is better compared to the ryzen 5 7500f?

It's quite a bit faster than previous gen - the 5700X3D is also a great option

Hi. I can obtain a 7500f for some like 130, and a 8700f for 144: 2 more cores on 8700f but 16MB less of L3 cache. Also PCI lanes seems to be only gen 4 8x (I don't care about gen5 because I will mount a 3080), but is 8x enough to sustain that 3080 and a nvme ssd? What should I do?
@ΔαυίδΠριδεαυξАй бұрын
Gen 4 x8 is fine for most GPU (including 4090) there are anomalies though.

@@ΔαυίδΠριδεαυξ at the end I got a 7900x for 250 (with 23 months of warranty left) from a friend. So I decided to pull the trigger and get it. Mounted on a X670E MSI Gaming Wifi (150), 64GB DDR5 (2*32) Corsair Dominator 6000mhz (100) and a 6900XT that I already own first (300). Thermalright Frozen Prism 360 as a cooler. PSU Corsair HX1000 (100) and 60 more euros for 8 fans and a controller. Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic ROG XL (110). I spent 1070, but I think all is worth at least double the price, or one and a half in the worst scenario. I think I will not upgrade for a lot of time xD Ty anyway for the reply P.S. I also can acquire a 3080 TI for 350, but I don't think that's an upgrade. Also the seller seems suspicious to me, so maybe I pass on that

i believe it is x8 on 8700G chips not the 8700F, the F chips have the full 16 if I am correct
@AndreaMortati7 күн бұрын
@@dudegetagrip Unfortunately it's the same for 8700F. Total lanes are 20 (same of all Phoenix processors), but 4 are reserved for the DMI link to the chipset. Furthermore, only 8 lanes can be accessed by the PCIe graphics (another physical limitation of Phoenix processors). The leaves 8 PCIe lanes can be used only for M.2 slots. So unless Raphael 7000 series, where the conf can be x16 x4 x4 (28 total lanes, 24 usable), here the only possible conf is x8 x4 x4. However, if the chipset has more lanes you can add some M.2, but you can't use more than x8 for graphics. However, that's not a big issue, since you can buy one for only 130 and for sure you will not pair it with high end GPUs. So the result is a loss of 2/3 FPS in the worst case scenario.
