I think that I at some point decided that skarmory wasn’t a johto pokemon, it just happened to be introduced in gen 2. It’s really a hoenn pokemon that probably got brought over to johto then released by someone who didn’t want it anymore.

I replayed HG a couple months ago and decided to use Granbull. It was actually a pretty great team member for the early and mid game, and wasn't bad in the end game either, I just had stronger team members at that point. Overall it moved up my list quite a bit once I used it

Are regional forms going to be counted for this series? HIsuian Growlithe might be fun if you ignore the fact that GF refuses to give head smash via level up to any mons with rock head because uuuuuh no fun allowed also I think Arcanine (both forms) should get Dragon Dance, especially the Kantonian form which seriously needs a buff that elevates it above the rest of the mono-fire types available. The Hisuian form getting it would mostly just be for fun; I don't really think it'd have a meaningful impact on its tier because by the time it would get it, powercreep elsewhere would raise UU's power level anyways; and OU is just gonna still have a lot of powerful water and ground types anyways

Game Freak doesn't care about Smogon. They barely care about balancing around VGC (Incineroar, Urshifu, Fluttermane, Ogerpon...), let alone a fan format. That said, I do agree. Arcanine deserves DD.
