I started with bath bombs last year thinking it would be an easy Christmas gift for family and coworkers. Then continued to watch your videos to gain confidence. Made my first batch 3 months ago. I made some bath bombs this week and instantly related to this video. Lol. I have to remember to summon my inner soap chef2 to get those 3d molds to work properly. Enjoy the festivities this evening!

Your intro made me feel sooo validated & not alone 🤍😂 I literally had a angry/some tears breakdown to my husband about how I just do not understand why bathb bombs kick my ass soooo hard 😂😂

How did you know I tried making bath bombs again yesterday after a 2-3yr break?😂They failed by the way 😂😭. Signed, a skilled soap maker.

Thank you so much for chatting with us about this. Bath bombs are definitely a challenge for me, and I’ve had to rebrand them as you spoke of before, but the finished product was great regardless of whether they ended up bath bombs or fairy powder. ❤ I’m glad to know I’m not alone and I have mad respect for the bath bomb makers!

Oh Hail the Bath Bomb makers. I've only made shower steamers personally, few duds along the ways but learnt so much. I def have to pick my times due to humidity etc and not get distracted and get the job done and dusted. HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone. 🕷🕷🕸🕸

Oh… I’m making Jell-O Shots for tomorrow night. Parents get the shots… kids get the candy! And my kids are old enough to drive. 😂

Oh my GAWD! It was torturous watching you unmold those crayons! Your poor hands! 😅😂❤

Thank you thank you for giving us learners the grace to say it’s ok!!! It’s a journey of learning and failing is how we perfect it! I’ve done all the aforementioned plus some- like ordered coarse citric acid during covid time when regular wasn’t available- major joke trying to figure that stuff out 😮 But I will continue to try until I get it down. So appreciate you and the content you share- and the much needed encouragement!! ❤

Thanks for this advice. I started out making bath bombs and they were fine...then they went South on me fast and it is now a hit and miss and as you said, I put my energy into soaping. I love making bb's and I will keep plugging away at perfecting my recipe. Up here in the high altitude of Colorado, we either have no humidity or we get some mysterious wave of humidity...maybe Winter is the best time for making them...I don't know. Oh, that crayon mold was a nightmare on this end, but they turned out so nicely.

Speaking of rice crispy treats… I just bought stuff to make them. I put peanut butter in them and add chocolate ganache to the tops ! Delish… but I suck at bath bombs. They work fine. But often get lopsided or form little bumps … it seems too dry so I add a smidge more liquid , then oops too wet … every. Single. Time.!

Omg this video is so on point. I do primarily party favors and white label for small business. I have turned down so many because I just gave up with bbs. Lol they were just bad and smelled like medicine after a month. Vanillin just stinks after a month.

Humidity changes drastically where I live so even if it's 40% when I start it's often 70-90% by the time I finish😢

Hi Mrs Soap and Clay ! :) I made 100% coconut soap with salt (30%fat). 4 days passed and I tried it to see how it works. It looks good, foams great but.... after washing, it feels slightly dry. Is there a chance that this will change after 4-6 weeks? Thank you for your informative videos!

Those crayon molds look tedious..❤ not sure you were having fun with those..😂 i have yet to find a recipe of bath bomb that works for our humidity in south Africa.... hope you had a evening of fun..

So for how small they were, they were more annoying than I would have liked. 😂

OHHH how frustrated. I have the mixture feeling good, doesn't stick to my gloves, when squeezed it holds together beautifully, while drying I have no cracks, no bumps, no issues. 14-36 hours later they just fall apart. what am I doing wrong????? I'm using a basic recipe, nothing fancy or extra, my binder is water, poly 80, etc. I am sooooo frustrated. BTW, I love all your videos and you are my go-to girl for all things soapy so thank you for all that 💜

Hey! I have a playlist for bath bombs where I share recipes, test others, etc. The Back to Basics Bath Bombs series talks most in depth about the bath bomb creation process and recipe adjustments.

I make soap and can’t make a decent bathbomb, I’m also a baker that can’t make a decent loaf of bread.

Ha! Bread is one of the only things I can bake well these days. 😂

I’m definitely better at making soap… but no reason to be a perfectionist either really. The bath bombs I’ve sold… the people loved them, but were basic round balls. Yep… I said basic balls. 😂

Nothing wrong with being a basic bitch that likes basic balls.
