Regular fans who have never been in a professional dressing room before will never understand the amount of knowledge, experience and professionalism someone like Jordan Henderson actually brings to a squad. You ask 20 randoms on the street if Henderson should be in the England squad and they'll probably say no, you ask the actual playing squad than they'll look at you Asif you're crazy for even asking. Players like that hold a dressing room together when the cameras are off. That aside I completely agree with you about Kalvin Phillips and just because i believe Henderson should be in our Euros squad, that doesn't mean I think he should be playing in most games but again you need players like Jordan Henderson to reinforce standards, bring the players together, be the middleman between the coaching staff and the rest of the playing squad and so on. Not exciting, I know but even more common in international football than Club football. Germany have been picking players who maybe never even deserved a call up for years. Lukas podolski has 130 caps for Germany, if it was just a talent competition he would have been lucky to get 20.

Gareth has done well, he's guided our National team to World Cup 4th place and semi final in 2018, a European Championship final in 2020 and a quarter final in the last Qatar World Cup but I think he's taken this team of unbelievably talented players as far as he can. In my opinion he needs to do the honourable thing and step down after the upcoming 2024 European Championship so the FA needs to look for a more positive manager who will allow our brilliant flair players more freedom to do their thing, which they do every week at their clubs in the Premier League. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿✌️

My England Playing XI would be in a 343 formation, I think for England to win trophies they should focus on their strongest aspect, the midfield. They have lot of gud midfielders. GK - Pickford 3 CBs - Stones, Maguire, Walker 4 CMFs - Foden, Bellingham, Rice, Trent 2 Wingers - Sancho, Saka Striker - Kane Manager - Not Southgate

Reason these people keep suggesting Watkins, Toney being too similar to Kane and Watkins offering something different confuses me. Think about it, Only reason either one of the two would play is an injury to Kane. Right? I mean chasing a game, even a genius like Southgate wouldn't dare sub one of them for Kane. If thats the case then wouldn't having a similar player like Toney benefit the team? So they don't have to switch to a completely different system. If he wants commit to a 2 striker system then having a completely different player, like Foden or even Rashford alongside Kane work better than having 2 out and out striker occupying the same space?

Southgate will play a midfield double pivot. Much in the same way he will start Maguire, to the utter detriment of England's progression. For me, the lack of pace at the back is the main reason why Phillips and Henderson partners Rice. He is a limited coach, and we see that limitation in every England match.

This England squad isn't as good as we all think we have 3 or 4 big players then it's good players but the problems are if you lose stones you've got bang average maguire with bang average someone else.. Left back is a problem with shaw out chillwell has been injured forever and looks rusty... Rice is holding the midfield together and you can't play Henderson or Phillips with him the answer is mainoo he's class. The attackers speak for themselves but with all this talk of you can't play two holding mids well your gonna have to because if you struggle to break teams down with the attack if you haven't got rice and mainoo there covering your get countered
