Thanks for singing my favorite songs by The Softones ("My Dream", "I'm Gonna Prove It" and "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" - though this clip doesn't include "their most popular song That Old Black Magic". Michael is great with whoever he sings with and I am glad Johnny "J.J." Johnson (on the left) took him with him when he returned to William Hart's Delfonics upon the death of its founder, William "Poogie" Hart. For the record, he had previously taken Eban Brown's place in The Stylistics and was great with them as well!

I see comments but family we have to realize all good things must come to a end yes Dr Marvin Brown & the original softones are great singer no doubt we must accept the out go's the old and in with the new if you listen to the legendary Ronnie laws lyrics in his record every generation he makes it clear (nothing stay the same) Michael Muse is taking its time to make sure that ole School Soul School stay alive and I enjoy it because I'm out with a crowd from a generation from my era from the 60s and 70s good luck Michael Muse🤜🏽🎶🤛🏽👋🏽

Michael is a big fan of Marvin Brown. He holds him to the highest esteem, but trust me he's not trying to be Marvin or "come close" as you say. He just wants to be the best Michael Muse he can be....God Is Love😊

Why did he leave
@janjordan-bonner9050 Жыл бұрын
I read somewhere on KZbin that he was asked to leave. They , the Stylistics, never intended for him to be their permanent lead singer.
@nancywood9531 Жыл бұрын
@@janjordan-bonner9050 are you talking about why Michael Muse left Airion and Herb? Same reason. He was pitchy I imagine.
@machocamacho360 Жыл бұрын
Maybe pitchy with The Softones but never with The Stylistics. The Stylistics let Mike go because they never intended to keep him in the first place . they were already grooming Bo Henderson a whole year before Eban Brown left . it just so happens that Bo was not ready for the Japan tour, so they quickly swooped up Muse until Bo was ready. That is the truth, that is the inside story and I'm sticking to it. Muse has been singing for a long time. And pitchiness has never been an issue with him.... As a matter of fact, 99.9% of the time, he's one of very few singers who I know that has perfect pitch. Bo Henderson is an incredible singer, but in no way shape or form does he fit the Stylistics sound or vibe. Don't know why they chose him over Muse after Muse was sounding. damn near just like Russell Thompkins. Check out some of his youtube footage with the stylistics and you be the judge.

@@machocamacho360 You are absolutely correct,Bo just doesn't fit the mold in no,way, shape or form.Michael muse is ten times better than Bo....Hands down 👎🏾

None can come close to Russell Thompkins Jr on the Stylistic top hits. Russell recorded them and they were written for him by Thom Bell and Linda Creed. They are his hits@ he still sings them.

Never replaced Russell at all. Russell Thompkins Jr needs no replacement. He is still singing strong ,performing and concerts with his Russell Thompkins Jr and New Stylistics for 20 years. Michael muse replaced Eban with the cover group of A&H.. He is very pitchy.
@machocamacho360 Жыл бұрын
@nancywood9531 So misinformed...I love Russell but his group is the Cover group. Russell left the real Stylistics with Herb and Arrion to form his own group. So how does the original group he left with 2 original members still remaining become the cover group. As far as Mike's pitchiness...maybe evident with The Softones but never with The Stylistics... He sounds more like Russell than Eban...just didn't have Ebans showmanship. ☝️❤️
