$400 board with this build experience and some missing basics is... definitely a choice.

I agree with you on the complexity bit. I build a lot of scale models, and I love complex assembly as long as the instructions explain it well

Missed this stream, but I love how much detail went into making a retro-vintage and entertaining board! The Asian designers and boards seemingly prefer super flexcut boards and foams, so it's a shame they don't have standard non-flexcut options. Also, that board isn't the only thing solid...

This is so solid Alex

I always wonder why people don't really like tactics, they are by far my favorite type of switch. Don't like might be too strong of a statement but I always wonder why they aren't more popular. I love seeing a build with some tactics though, I might need to get some of the switches from this video!

for me, top cover should be all polycarbonate (or whatever the see through material is) fix the mounting design, no flex cut 1.6 pcb, and remove the screen. it will be good to go

Where'd the lego keyboard go?

Something to do with the title of video being different for some people so Alex took it down.

With all the issues this is definitely not a $400 board or anywhere close to it. I’d say $150 max imo. Good video as always tho

The ribbon bracket they've copied from wooting looks out of the place and just dumb on this one.

Cool concept but not worth $400.

So, this is basically a bad QC $80 Aliexpress board with a poorly made Alice-shaped PCB, contained within another "we have Matrix at home" case that's overly complicated and poorly thought of, being sold for $400...got it.

it def looks cool but a bit tacky. i feel like interest in this style will fade pretty quickly. for example, when the work louder creator board first dropped, thought it was the sexiest thing on the planet. however, saw it again just the other day and the style of it looks old already to me i.e. very tacky

It feels along the same line of design to me as most MatrixLab keebs - minus the build experience I guess lol
