I don't think Blizz will ever budge on this issue anyway, but I do appreciate that there's at least a few voices in the OW community who'll stand up for us console players. Sam's ability to say all of this with his VOD still on his channel of him attempting to play controller with no aa and giving up is comedy gold, especially when he acknowledges the video and says "that doesn't have anything to do with it". Sam's either a top tier toll or his years of playing OW has finally truly drained him of his sanity lol.

Me personally, I am a pc player that came from console. Aim assist in overwatch is basically nothing, so I don't really see why samito has a problem with it and blizzard should really just allow it so people can play with their friends. That being said I do agree with samito on the part where he said aim assist is mild aimbot, but only for games such as warzone and apex cuz that shit is broken over there.

@@theonlygus First off Tour De France uses road bikes not mountain bikes. Second off the bikes they use are custom designed for the rider to maximise their potential. Think of aim assist as a specific frame size for the rider so they aren’t forced to use the same bike frame designed for a mouse user. That way it removes the any awkwardness from the Equipment and makes it more fair overall. Also aim assist is designed to deal with a thing called Deadzones within a controller. Without specific software it’s difficult to know your own controllers deadzones. Therefore places controller players at a disadvantage in a way and that wouldn’t be fair either now would it?

I been playing with aim-assist off on console pools just to practice when I get in pc pools & I been absolutely miserable. I play support mostly Lucio & Zenyatta, with the meta that's going on it feels really annoying to try to learn in a environment that works against you. So far my practice has been really poor & I even went to research if I could actually improve without AA but I couldn't find much so I'm kind of stuck on what to do. After having 1000+ hours in OverWatch l'll say this with confidence the aim assist is not that good, the only thing it does is slows down your sensitivity when your Crosshair is near your opponent tracking your opponent is your own still alone.

I used to think “hey, samito isn’t that bad. As a console player, this just checks every box for me. PC players are able to better control their aim because it’s more precise whereas console players CAN get really good aim, but it takes way longer because stick sensitivity is never going to be as good as mouse sensitivity (by that I mean the ability to be as accurate with where you want to place your shots). Console players only have a slight movement advantage imo cuz sticks offer more direction control than the keyboard, but in terms of aiming and getting kills, PC mops the floor with console

I played one game vs cpu on a jank laptop that turned into a slideshow when more than 2 ults were used at once. Even then, it felt better aiming with a $10 Walmart mouse than a controller, because it’s easier. Same. I only have smoothing and a bit of slow down so I don’t over-aim at farther distances, but the normal aim assist is basically turned off for me. Sometimes those settings still mess me up if someone goes infront of the person that I’m trying to shoot at when scoped in as Widow or Ashe, but overall they help me acquire targets and shoot a few milliseconds sooner, which can really be the difference.

I had to switch from PC to Xbox, because my dinky computer can't play OW2 rn, and I have never played a console game that not only required me to utilize all the buttons but actively cramped my hands after only an hour of playtime. All ow aa does is slow down the aim when close to an enemy. I wish there was a way to manually slow down my aiming when in pc lobbies. As it I have to pick between high sense to be able to move well, or low sense to be able to hit the enemy. I’ve been playing a lot with a couple of my pc friends. Haven’t played in awhile now but when I did I Had a bro who’s on pc I play with from time to time, I’m only a diamond player but could avg 45-53% accuracy with Cassidy on console lobby’s, go to pc lobbies with him and having no aim assist and I struggle to hit 15% it’s quite literally almost un playable on most characters or atleast for me it is and just means I generally don’t play with them.

I was pretty confused when he said that it was aimbot just to say he never said that 2 minutes later, I started on console (10+ years) and just started playing on pc a few months ago w no experience. When I go to console to play with my friends I 100% notice the aim assist, but maybe my settings are different than yours (highplat/diamond on console mid silver on pc ik I’m bad). I agree that in QUICKPLAY my friends should get AA on console when I’m on pc, but your argument on it doesn’t make sense to me or maybe I’m a smooth brain, if you don’t notice the AA/say it’s nonexistent when you’re playing, then why do you think you need it when you get pulled into pc lobbies? Maybe I’m contradicting myself but I’ve played w pc people while I’m on console and my aim is just ASS without it, but again maybe my AA settings are different than yours therefore I notice it once it’s gone, point is I definitely think AA should be allowed when you’re with pc players (in qp) but to say the AA is not strong just isn’t true, when I go from pc to console it 100% pulls my aim and its very strong, ik it’s not aimbot but it sure does feel like it, no hate btw

I also play a game called War Thunder where there is no aim assist that is unique to consoles, so maybe that could be a factor too. Guess I’m in the 1%.

I agree with Raider. I used to play Titanfall 1 religiously. I tried playing with mouse and keyboard, but something just felt off. That game was basically just CoD with advanced movement before CoD ripped that feature off. I just decided to try controller and to my shock and horror the aim assist was so broken in that game that it had an immediate effect on my game play. I started topping leader boards left and right because it actually made a difference. That level of brokenness does not exist in OW.

Hello pc guy here, I see no problem having aim assist enabled on unranked games when you are playing with your pc friends. Unranked has such wild matchmaking anyway that it kinda doesn't matter if you have aim assist or not. Competitive would be a more complicated issue and worst case you could still have another pool that is mixed separately from the usual one and that would be fine. I feel like Samito is traumatized from warzone and apex where aim assist is crazy and doesn't know that ow has a lot less.

3:28 My guy says “both players having equal tools to play with” like bruh, you got a mouse which helps u aim exponentially better than 2 plastic sticks because you’re using your WHOLE HAND and wrist to aim while controllers just have 2 tiny sticks only controllable by thumbs. What’s this dude on lol. Also, why is a pc player so against aim assist on consoles when it’s only gonna be usable in quick play anyway?

I played Xbox all my life and after the first week of OW2 I switched to pc and was actually hitting my Hanzo arrows and doing good. I feel like if I had to 1v1 myself on controller, I would win on pc easily.

When I switched to pc my aim went much higher, soo high, ahhh ahhh
