As a Mercy player, I do agree that she isn’t as skillful as other characters, but she’s really just an awareness type character and that’s fine. I also agree that a lot of Mercy players/just supporter players come of as a both extremely entitled and narcissistic. It’s pretty gross ngl. The amount of stereotypes that is filled within this game and seeing them always makes me laugh like a dying hyena.

My biggest issue with toxicity in Overwatch is that whenever your team loses, it’s either a support or DPS’ fault. Nobody ever blames the tanks even though the loss is typically their fault, but nobody notices because their poor playership can’t be measured by a number. they’re constantly out of position, pushing too far, pushing in the wrong places, not grouping up, or failing to offer any protection for your team.

I’ve seen it as a 20/30/40 split of fault, in order of support/dps/tank. The missing 10 is just the team doing nothing in general cause the team comp is trash What I hate is when I’m on dps or support and stuck tanking cause my tanks have no aggression. Get 3-4 kills and….the team falls apart cause Orisa and Dva don’t push so the enemy Bastion and Zen get a team wipe

Guess their Spotify is too loud to hear anything and they pretend that they don't see the VL that clearly tells you if the person is in critical health as well. #25 is just gonna be us forced to babysit the one-trick because they can't go Brig so you end up going and being the Brig. If Doom is out here getting resources he can be a pain but not as is and it's pretty funny when you see the posts on places like Twitter.

I’ve been an Mercy/Ana main for like- 3-4 years now, been playing for a max of 5 years. And I have to agree that all of this is extremely accurate. And I remember, when I first started playing mercy, she was the only support I could play. So when someone else played her, I just dragged my team down. But then, I started to master Ana, and a few other supports to use for better comps if needed, and I definitely feel like I can contribute more to my team now that I have a backup, and I can look forward to different team comps and different plays rather than playing the same character over and over again and complaining when someone takes them (not that I ever said anything when someone played her, I never minded )

Lol I stopped playing this game like 6 months ago and it was the best gaming decision I've ever made. I do enjoy seeing the suffering and salt of other players though lol. All of this criticism is pretty hilarious and I agree with it. Pocket Mercy with a Smurf DPS, Mercy, Moira or Brig one-tricks and Reddit Lucios were the most annoying to me.

Most of this stuff is true (mostly about the annoying healer archetypes like the couples & pick-me mercies) but since I play moira I feel a little more than hurt when I see how many people hate on her. Tbh I don’t blame them; %90 of moiras aren’t efficient enough to be taken seriously. Either by means of not managing cooldowns, biotic energy etc, or just plain DPSing with their meager abilities because they think having access to a SINGLE damage orb gives them an excuse to, most of ‘em give people who actually take moira seriously a bad rap. I’m gonna go ahead and say it: moira takes skill. It does seemingly look like she’s trash just because she doesn’t harbor some fancy stun or death-preventing ability, but there’s more to her than what most people care to look for. That’s all I’ll say here because ive already written an essay worthy of ‘dont care didnt ask’ status but yeah not all moiras are bad👏 maybe play with me👀
