Mario movie was better, less contrived story and relationships,music(without every other lisenced songs)actually took from the games,and since all animated, they could get wilder! Muy bien akari?

Disagree strongly about the less contrived part. That bonzai bill scene is just all levels of broken and even the bros themselves parting is forced.

@@reserven5795. Know this gonna surprise you, but Nintendo wasn't always king atop the gaming heap, just down their luck nobodies. And Mario was their meal ticket, specifically made for rivaling namco's yellow ghost gorging globe. However Nintendo even back then, known that simply rivaling packman not gonna garantee mario longevity(Sonic), and needed carving out his own identity, thus they created one extremely recognisable world with the mushroom kingdom(unlike sonic's wich can't decide between furries and humans),recognisable core cast who are always present("Sonic has too many friends"),unburdened with character arks(when was the last time knuckles stopped buying what eggman sold?),consistent esthatic(when was the last game Sonic was truly cartoony?),nieche core jazz music genre(unlike rock that's normal nowdays),and way more relatability(blue collar worked who got whisked away into adventures and made habbit out this>cartoon hedgehog who wanna"get real"thus let"his world"beat the positivity out him). Also barring those few lisenced songs, the Mario movie had way more music from the actual freaking games than Sonic, wich was just generic orchestra music mostly with occasional light techno! Also bomber bills are special, and Mario and luigi didn't expect magic warp pipe!

The point I'm making is that the bonzai bill scene makes no sense because Mario had no idea what would happen if he led it to the warpipe. For all he knew it woulda just blown up Brooklyn if he had succeeded getting it through. It was contrived. You'll understand the more you watch the movie and when you're older.

How mutch older gotta get? Also going back for the"Bomber Bill"point, given how luigi was randomly dropped off inside the darklands hearth, that was another possible location for the"Bomber Bill"! And since all inhabit the darklands are lovecraft horrors, the"Bomber Bill"probably wouldn't destroyed anything important!
