Good episode, especially with the touching closing remarks by Jerry Lewis---yes, there was a time when the Bono's were a really cool couple. Nice song by the Supremes, too, who didn't seem to even need Miss Ross and the ego thing. This really brings back favorite '70's tv memories for me (then a Sonny lookalike...and who also had the hots for Cher.)

This is episode made me laugh so hard! Every single minute of the skits was grand and hilarious. I love all of the Sonny and Cher shows, and used to watch them as a kid. My family would watch together every week. I don't remember specifics much from back then, but this has to be the funniest one of all the ones I have been binge watching the past few days. As a little girl, I was mesmerized by Cher's beauty, her lovely dark skin, shiny long hair, her nails, outfits, the whole look. I was amazed and always thought she was so brave to dress the way she did, showing her belly all the time. Anyway, she should have left her looks alone as she aged. There was no need to try to "fix" herself. We women rarely are ever happy with our looks. She was, and is, so talented. I didn't appreciate her acting so much as a child. They seemed so happy--it was such a shocker what was really going on. Sonny was an absolute jerk to have shafted her of finances when she left him, taking advantage of her young age. Jerry Lewis is so freaking funny in this show! And to see the Supremes, what a special treat. Entertainers were so much more pleasant back then, and truly entertaining us. Look how beautiful and classy they dressed, and no over the top sets, dancers running all over the stage distracting from the singing, and all that crazy stuff so many singers do now. Thank you for this video, loved the commercials too. I have not laughed this much in a long time. Got to go watch some Green Acres after I get through all of the Sonny and Cher shows.

they is two side to every story Cher have spoken out most recently saying Sonny wasnt bad his just dont know how to be a husband and treat a girl right she say that she was happy with sonny before they got married after they got married Sonny change his started smoking cigars and talking business all the time and when they got a divorce Sonny got Custody of Ther than daughter Chastity and Chaz have say that growing up his was alot closer to his dad than mum. but Cher also say after they break up they got along way better is was like you saw the old sonny again she say that is was like how her and sonny were dating and happy

Man, these 2 were great together! Until about 8 months ago, I didn't give the Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour any thought until a clip came up on my Recommended viewing on KZbin. I haven't watched the show since the 1970's as a family affair (I was in 7th grade in 1971 when it 1st aired) & thought I'd watch it to see if their comedy held up and, for me, it has. We now have 87 of the total 99 shows (pre & post divorce) on DVD & enjoy them on a regular basis. On VH1's "Behind The Music" that saluted Sonny after his death in 1998, co-producer of the Comedy Hour Allan Bearde said that Jerry Lewis said Sonny was the best straight man after Dean Martin.

I'm devistated. I had an entire playlist of all of the Sonny and Cher shows. I just checked my Library and therecall gone. I hate that when whoever has the copyrights decides they no longer want people to view for free has access to your device and can delite whatever they choose. Rick Manning sonny and cher were adamantly anti-drug back when anti-drug wasnt cool. Cher also didnt drink hard liquor or smoke cigs. They were into healthy food and lifestyles as was the fashion of the 70s. They also were into exercise. While it kept Cher in her fab body, it cost Sonny his life.
