I've been vegan for only 3 weeks, officially, now, and there's no craving or excuse that will make me go back. Love these videos, and love Farm Sanctuary. I hope I can contribute some way in the future.

These wonderful people who rescue the abused animals from the callous and cruel industrial farming system are the best example of what human beings can do when we listen to our conscience. The fact that these animals are treated this way by the ruthless masters of the argi-food industry is appalling, and only becomes more appalling when we realize that the animals we slaughter as quickly as possible have personalities and are individual beings just as humans do. We could feed far many more humans if we gave up our meat addiction and used the land to grow far more vegetables with less land being needed for meat production. This would also give a huge shot in the arm for the environment, not only to return the much needed farmland to the natural flora and fauna that have been exterminated to make room for farms, but would also reduce methane emissions and pollution from animal feces which are literally destroying the planet.

This is exactly what our skills and abilities as humans are for : ) ... for making this world and all in it better and not to do harm or cause destruction. I am so proud of the work you do, I am vegan and hope to have a sanctuary one day soon. Oh and no cow is ever too spoilt, hehe ; ) all my love :) xo

I've 'lapsed' from a whole food plant based diet too many times over the last few years since I started, it's my intention to not let that happen again. Videos like this serve as great reminders why I don't need to consume meat or dairy, regardless of the health benefits that served as my original motivation.

What you guys do is so admirable and I hope one day I can be a part of something this beautiful! I was really disappointed that nothing like this exists in my home state of Minnesota. I've contacted an animal activist group at my university about working to create a similar farm that could work with the university's vet school, however, I fear that there are a lot of politics and bureaucracies surrounding universities, so I'm not quite sure if it will work. Any advice would be very appreciated!

Look at the video, check out their facebook page. They have other big cows. They don't need to "manage" them as they are living natural and happy lives.

to talesin: bulls are dangerous when they begin to realize what happens to their cows and babies. By nature bulls are rather gentle,if treated well. Also at Farm Sanctuary all animals get spayed and neutered.

Cattle slaughter and dairy has to be banned. If the dairy industry is so concerned about calcium, they should give milk for free. People who slaughter cattle mercilessly has to be sent to trial and should be denied any kind of employment for one to two years and this should set an example for future wanna be bovine murderers.

Put this energy toward children who need help and care
@aviram758 жыл бұрын
Many people who are comited to animal rights, are also very comited to many other social issues. For instance, I volunteer at a children school with special needs, I donate as much as I can to MSF (medecins sans frontiers), and to Amnesty International. If you really care so much for children who need help and care, you may always volunteer in so many NGO's that will appreciate your help.

Zac Boerman How many children you did save?
@susanmurrell6356 жыл бұрын
Zach Boerman Just because children need help, doesn't mean you can't care about other living and suffering beings. More charities are involved with human beings. But animals often just get what's left. It doesn't make them any less deserving of help, care, and love. Who or what have you rescued lately? Just because someone likes to jog, doesn't mean they can't go swimming.....people are allowed to have more than one charity or cause they care about.
