One of my favorite westerns

This was one of the first Westerns I watched as a kid, and was my favorite by far. Along with this one I loved catching Bonanza and Gunsmoke when they'd come on. I wanted to be a cowboy so bad, and when we took our first family road trip out west I wrote down everything I could. We got to visit the Roy Rogers/Dale Evans museum in Victorville, see a pet buffalo, walk around a cactus "forest", and I even got my first cowboy hat on that trip, a leather one that I still have to this day.

This was a great show. But I have to say it is also one of the deadliest. I lost count of the # of people who got killed.

Your comment reminds me of the true story concerning Moe Howard the most controlling one in the three stooges, a concerned reporter asked Moe about all the uneccasary violence in the three stooges, Moe replied with a quick quip well were not as violent as westerns,needless to say but that shut that reporter right up,

Nice vid. This channel kinda reminds me of Landum C Goes There. His videos are very fascinating with almost the same narrative feel as RR's and he knows a lot about classic movies and TV shows' trivia, including scandals surrounding the casts or the specific way directors wanted something filmed. Sadly, unlike this channel, the comments section of his videos are disabled. I hate it when that happens, because he reminds me a lot of my late dad (also somewhat of a fan of classic movie and TV trivia) and it's yet another annoying example of YT trying to block people from socializing. And he's not a girl, so don't even dare make the simp argument, lol.

Script wanders too much. At one point they agree to run a herd of cattle and script deals with it, then takes another direction and you hear nothing more about their cattle.

It always bugged me that they were all supposed to be brothers considering the age differences. Other than that, it's a very good movie.
