GTA LCS is more based on The Godfather part 3 with a hint of Sopranos. When Tony visits uncle Jun every once in a while in the show always reminds me of LCS cutscenes of Toni doing Salvatore missions.

GTA V main character, Michael Townley, is directly named after the henchman/hired killer for Henry Kissinger. He even has the same facial features to an extent. In turn, the real person's actions are featured in the plot of the Scarface reboot during a depiction of a historical event - specifically the car bombing. Scarface, of course, had influenced GTA: Vice City with all the Hawaiian shirts, chainsaws, cocaine, and helicopter aesthetics of 80's Miami. To sum the two's history up, Michael Townley had served a couple of years for crimes that would leave him in prison forever. Henry Kissinger famously received the Nobel Prize for Peace, instead of the nominated organization of pacifist nuns - they were drugged, killed off, and dropped off helicopters in the ocean by the shores of countries his tactics influenced. Moreover, the trailer for GTA VI was published not a moment sooner than the day after Henry Kissinger had died.
