It’s interesting that Vito is the one who killed Jackie Jr. back in season 3 and then it is Meadow who confirms Vito’s sexuality, effectively marking him for death. It’s almost like a revenge for killing her ex she didn’t even know she was getting.

That's a pretty good point. Especially when Tony tells Melfi "You get a pass" if you have a jailhouse "relationship". I always thought it was more to do with the fact that Vito was the "bottom", so to speak. If only he just got that note from his Doctor, instead of running to the countryside.

2:30 It wasn't until I re-watched this season last week that I realized how Carmella intentionally sealed Vito's fate. Even though it is common knowledge at this point, it is still just second-hand rumor. But Carmella has had an axe to grind with Vito ever since he stalled in handing over that envelope in the hospital. The way I see it Carmella knew that... 1) Meadow probably doesn't tell Tony what Finn saw on her own. 2) Things will really escalate once Tony hears the graphic details from Finn, an eye witness with no reason to lie. ... so she makes sure Tony hears it directly from the source. She definitely got some blood on her hands here, right?
