Holly's favourite colour being green is such a cool detail when you take into account her parents both have red as their favourite color since red and green are complementary colors (meaning opposites on the colour wheel) and Holly's personally is opposite to her parents.

@@jeffwoods5600 plus the emotions a color can give you, especially in your house. For example, a green bedroom would be better than a red oke cause green is more calming and not as agressive as red if that makes sense. While red can mske you feel uneasy.

Agreed. Some people just don't turn out looking or acting like their parents at all. (Especially since the Altos are so based on aesthetics, we don't have a clear image of how they look without the excessive outfits and makeup.)

I use a story progression mod in The Sims 3. Nick and Vita always end up enemies. But in my most recent save they had like 4 babies back to back, and i held one while my sim was attending a party at their mansion. The party ended and my sim was automatically told to leave and locked outside with the baby! But it was winter and it would freeze to death...so I 'kidnapped' it by adding it to my family. My sim was supposed to be very rebellious but also very family orientated, so my headcanon is that the baby was neglected and she impulsively acted on it.

babies can't freeze to death. in a played family the baby would get taken away but i dont think its possible in another family. i think the baby would be just fine, their needs kinda dont work properly when theyre non played. one time my sims naighbor had like 4 babies and there wasnt any stuff for them in her hime so she just left a couple of the babies outside and never really interacted with them. the babies would just sit outside all day crying about being hungry and stinky and lonely but nobody came and i couldnt help them myself because me and their mother werent friends. and guess what, they grew up just fine lol

I normally get Holly engaged to Malcolm Landgraab. I've always viewed the Alto's, Landgraabs and Goths as 'dynasties'. The Alto's are a new dynasty on the block and enemies with the landgraabs. I normally have them intermarry in a weird dynastic power move to make a truce and combine their wealth, power and prestige.

7:00 Boom!!! That destroys my theory but here it goes: Cornelia and Vita are Italian. There are not more Italian Sims. Bella 's mother is supposed to be Greek. It can be the only reason to get along. Or probably you are right, but there's a moment in the game when everything changes: if you are playing with the Goth's, Gunther will be offered the opportunity to be the mayor. Then, you have to work very hard on his Charisma and raise his campaign funds. Nancy donates the most, so that means she is interested in his political party. Then Gunther competes against Vita to become President breaking their friendship. As the description of Sunset Valley suggests Goth's are allies of Nancy to beat Alto's and their ambition of owning Sunset Valley. Gunther will be elected as President beating Vita's political evil influence and Nancy will become CEO beating Nick's influence over the businesses of the city. Consequently, Alto's won't exist 50 years later when Sims 2 takes place.

@@Volpe001 Haha, I remember I hated Bella when my Sim was trying to seduce his father (he is almost impossible to seduce 😂) and she interrupted the romantic conversations constantly. I make her seduce Gobias and move with him until Mortimer becomes Kaylynn girlfriend. Then, my Sim broke up with Gobias to be Gunther's lover and moved with him (he is the only Sim able to ask to move with him if the relationship is strong enough) so I could control Mortimer to marry Kaylynn and invite loner Bella to the wedding. 😂

One of the main tensions in The Sopranos is that Tony wants to keep his children uncorrupted despite the fact that he genuinely does not care how many people he hurts and how horribly. Meadow Soprano's character arc is really centered on her coming to terms with how her family puts food on the table and although it could be argued that Meadow continues to benefit from her father's evil throughout the series, she at least makes an attempt to optically distance herself from her father and his violence, his racism, etc. I think Holly is a clear nod to Meadow.

I don't really mind the sims 4's style, but I do dislike them changing their own canon and then selling it off as an AU. Like many others, I've made my own save-file in which it's aloooot more accurate with the lore, with gravestones, family relations, and so on. I love my Altos, they are perfect. They have a beautiful red and golden mansion in willow creek which is opposite to the landgraabs which I moved there from the desert, it makes me so happy to play in that save-file. Before anyone asks: No, my save file can not be downloaded anywhere since it's completely private, though I I played with the idea of uploading it with fixes whenever new worlds come out. On top of that, it's not really complete as I don't own all of the packs so I'm missing 2 worlds, The one that came with Eco-Lifestyle and the one from Jungle Adventure.

Or I would make the two parents in the Alto family have another baby, and then I would kill parents afterwards. So that Holly can care for her brother or sister. I remember that each time I played in Sunset Valley Altos would move out of their mansion eventually and settle down in a pretty ordinary house, sure it was also a two-storey house but it's nothing compared to their luxurious mansion. They would all stay together (even Holly) so that's a very interesting point.

I just found your channel and I love it one of the big things that stood out to me that I want to answer was why are they so close with the Goths and I thought about this a lot in my own gameplay. Well from this perspective, if you are new money and you want to be the biggest and baddest family in town and literally control every enterprise, why not have the support of one of the oldest families that can back you up you see in the goths bio that it says their ancestors were one of the first to settle down in town. and their a long lasting family.. if you have their support, you can pretty much get everybody else on board. I know that’s a really big deep dive and possibility but it does make sense.

The Sopranos, like the Altos, have a daughter (Meadow Soprano) who is less evil and corrupt, than her parents. One big difference is that the Sopranos also have an unscrupulous son, where as Holly is an only child. #SimRefs

The Sims 3 is, in a timeline perspective, before The Sims 2. There is no mention of the Altos in The Sims 2 so, why they disappeared? I always theorized it maybe had something to do with Nancy Landgraab getting her CEO job over Nick, and him killing her in revenge, making him (and the entre family) to go under police investigation. If the police investigated the Altos, wouldn't you think they would find something else? Perhaps they found that Vita was corrupt and they took all the money out of the family, and that's why there isn't any mention of them in The Sims 2. Or.. Perhaps Geoffrey Landgraab killed the family as a revenge for his wife's death? Some Romeo and Juliet vibes... What are your thoughts?

Berth could be a reference to Saul (from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul - two of the best shows ever) except he isn't a lawyer but an accountant. But the story sounds very similar. There is also a banner ad in Bridgeport that looks exactly like Saul's in the show and it's one of the easter eggs in TS3. Banner in Bridgeport could be ad for Berth's previous services as an accountant

I said it once and I’ll say it again. Altos are quite shady and evil. I believe that Nick and Bert planned to perform a prank on Nancy to impress Vita who loathes Nancy. The prank didn’t work as planned and Queenie, Nancy’s Mother, died in a fire. So Nick accused Bert of that accident and he ran. I like creating sims conspiracies in my mind😂😂😂😂😂

Sims 4 Holly Alto kinda look like Vijay Alvi. My bet is that Holly married him (he has the evil trait, she's good, but he matches her parents), and had Holly Alto II. If you compare her age to Dustin and Dirk, (and, of course, ignore the alternate universe bullcrap) she could be Holly Alto I's daughter.

actually they kinda are cause in the sims 4 when your like water gets shut off the pop up will say "the alto water company has shut off your water" just like the landgraab power company one so its referenced in the sims 4 too lol

my sim became friends with nick alto after adopting a puppy from him and then nick started inviting him to a bunch of parties. now they're best friends but he also keeps trying to hit on my sim which is very funny to me

Just bingeing. Somehow my notifications got screwed up so I wasn't seeing your stuff. Little housekeeping: "Game Of Thorns" is a mystery and ONLY less than 400 pages, so I'm pretty sure they only share a similarity in titles. You pronounce it "BayBay" Hart, too! I wasn't sure I was right but now I'm comfortable to go with it. She's married to one of my simselfs. "Simselves?" Probably. She comes to all the parties and once hit on my sim before he ended up married to her best friend. I didn't watch "The Sopranos" so I can't provide much there. But I think I read Tony's daughter was basically good, too. So might be some inspiration beyond just the name. Anyway, glad I fixed the notification thing and hope your computer woes are sorting themselves!
