+James Kennedy He should have strangled Paulie Walnuts around season 2. Paulie never talked to the Feds, but in some ways he caused Tony more grief than that with New York.
@jameskennedy43778 жыл бұрын
+scdevon Good point but Paulie was a good earner and that's more important than anything to Tony. Ralph might be the exception to that b/c he was Tony's best earner and Tony killed him anyway but that was a spur-of-the-moment, ultra-emotional subject. Further, Tony was ready to let Vito, considered a disgusting disgrace by almost everyone, off the hook because of Vito's earning power (plus the cash Vito promised to give directly to Tony) but changed his mind when he realized that doing so would screw up the family's business with Phil and New York, thereby costing Tony more money over the long term.

In the dream sequence Pussy (as a fish) said to Toney: 'You knew... ' Deep down Toney knew, but his head didn't want admit it. Great acting by both. You could tell Toney view Pus as the closest thing to a brother and probably loved him above all the made guys. It overrode his reason and instincts. If this had been Paulie doing the same thing, it would have been Ralph all over again, accept this time in the basement...

When Puss rat, Tony was devastated and i think he would not have killed him if he didnt wanted to keep the apperance in front of hes crew, the punish for ratting was death. In the end Puss was telling the cops only small things, nothing that will hold in court, and Tony knew it.

A lot of times I think that Silvio is Tony's third best friend after Pussy and Blundetto. Silvio was always there for Tony when Pussy disappeared to Mexico without telling anybody. Sil was always Tony's best friend even after Pussy had to be put down. Silvio is my favorite character because he was there for Tony when Tony had his disputes with the more sadistic Ralph Cifaretto, and when he had arguments with Feech and when Richie Aprile was pissing Tony off! It broke my heart to see Silvio shot in the end! Tony's friendship with Sil very much reminds me of my friendship with a close friend who mentors me all the time and it's a female friend who is close and mentoring to me. Just like Silvio is mentoring to Tony!
@Grimreepa2208 жыл бұрын
Yeah Sil was definitely loyal till the end, i hated seeing him get shot too. Like Tony he took his business seriously and with honor, seems like he was always the one to take care of the rats and traitors Jimmy, pussy, Adriana. TV basements are kind of a trope. He owns this enormous two story suburban ranch style home, but the basement looks small and cramped like it belongs to a small two bedroom home built in the early 50s. All the things that you might find in a basement -- water heater, power tools, exercise equipment, washer and dryer -- all seem to be confined to one space. And of course, if you're having confidential conversations, standing next to the stairwell is the last place you'd want to be.

Something about the timeline of Sal's cooperation confuses me. Like in this, was he really in PR or was he cutting a deal? In the context of this show, is it implied that Pussy was an informant as soon as the show began then? Was Makazian right in giving a heads up to Tony about Pussy or did he get it confused and really mean Jimmy? Was Jimmy even a rat at all or was he whacked because of Tony's interpretation of Makazian's tip?
