Memorable scenes of The Sopranos TV Series. It was more than 2 years when James Gandolfini passed away. I miss The Sopranos, I miss Tony Soprano, and I miss James Gandolfini so much.
Sometimes it's good to come back here, and watch his greatest scenes over and over again. He was a very talented and fascinating actor. I hope these videos help to keep his memory
alive.

Anyone whose been around would know if there was a nice restaurant like that and some husky well dressed Italian walks up to you and says something, it's a good idea to listen lol. He looked like he owned the restaurant, and there's owners that would risk a scene just to make their point.

This guy gets around, I see him on a few random YT comment sections. Also makes really good tutorial, tips and tricks etc. vids about GTA online. I used to use em when I got addicted to GTA online for most of last year. He's one of those types of YT'ers that aren't cringe, over the top in your face douche bags, no dramatic bs in his video, his guides are straight to the point, concise, clear and informative. Now I sound like him self promoting himself on an alt account lmao but just showing appreciation because I love YT'ers like him, they're a rare breed. Just realized I'm not subbed to him too, well there's a mistake I just had to rectify.

After watching this scene a couple more times, something that stands out to me is how significant this scene is for Artie too. Artie always envied the strength Tony effortless projects. This is one of those moments that really makes Artie dissatisfied with his own life even though he shouldn't be. We can really see this starting to take root in Artie's mind here and knowing how this poisonous thought develops inside him, it's just another example of how Tony's way of life corrupts and destroys everything around him.

Also what was he going to do in a restaurant full of people and possible undercover detectives at the other table?! not much. However the perception that Tony was about to dispense some violence and not caring about that was all the mattered. Just like Joe Pesci said in Casino: "I don't give a f@ck about going to jail, that's my business" as he threatened the banker's life if he wasn't going to give him back the money he lost on his investment.

The thing is tony doesn’t believe his line of work is unethical. He is a true libertarian capitalist in believing in a free market. That includes selling drugs guns or gambling. There is no rules that will stop him from doing that. But there are social norms, etiquette, and ethics that a person must carry out in social settings as a sign of respect. Respect is important. He lives by the rule of mind your own business and respect of others so that everyone can carry on with their everyday lives

I think this was done intentionally .. casting a kid with a very full head of hair. Otherwise the focus of the scene -- that Tony, who murders people for a living should be concerned with social improprieties -- would be lost. Instead the viewer would concentrate on the possibility that the guy is just self-conscious about his lack of hair (something that Tony and Artie could likely relate to.)

Barf Mog I am not talking about not being progressive. I am not a fascist and I think you misunderstood me. There were times where we did need liberalism. Now liberalism is just a lie uses by those who want to mislead our society and fit it to their standards. Nowadays we should look at the real problems of the world. Gavin McInnes of Rebel Media is a rational person with a sarcastic personality and I think he is great. I would call myself a rational conservative rather than those would be conservatives who are phony bitches.

Actually... the point of this scene is to show him using that scenario to his advantage. He makes a loud fuss about the person wearing the hat at his table, letting the two gentlemen behind hear this. He then walks over, makes the man take his hat off and has an excuse to talk privately to the waiter, disguising the request to pull the plates and check for cops with a simple bottle of wine gesture for embarrassing the couple. It's a very clever ploy. As for the irony, it's honor among thieves. There was a lot of respect among mobsters and gangsters to avoid noise and attention. Less confrontations the smoother illegal actions can slide under the radar. It also helps to blend into an upper class lifestyle by having higher standards of etiquette.

+bigblackracoon I highly doubt Tony would kill a random ass kid for refusing to take his hat off in a restaurant. Rather, I suspect he would have taken the hat off for him. But if you think he'd kill a random kid not involved in the mafia for something so small, you're sorely mistaken. I mean, he's a mob boss of a small family in Jersey, he's not invincible, though.
@reticulator
@reticulator 8 жыл бұрын
+Seven Foot Pelican Well some mobsters used to kill people just to test out a new gun. Remember Thomas Desimone, the guy from Goodfellas in real life shot a guy in the head just walking by. Henry asked him why he did it, and he said "I'm just a mean cat". These people are vicious psychopaths, and the only people who would be tough enough to step to them and not care would be those who have already been through an actual war. So no a UFC fighter wouldn't step to him, but an Army Ranger or Navy Seal would demand respect of course.

+Seven Foot Pelican It's a TV show. Tony Soprano the fictional TV mob boss of the fictional mob outfit in North Jersey wouldn't have done anything except whatever was written in the script. Gandolfini and the actor who played that kid probably had a laugh about it later. A real life Capo wouldn't care enough to say anything to the kid, or at most would probably just tell the waiter to ask the kid to remove his hat or leave.

In case anyone is wondering Tony gifted him a 1992 Montepulciano. Montepulciano is the 2nd most planted red grape in Italy (after Sangiovese) and has had a reputation for low-priced juicy “pizza-friendly” red wines. Fortunately, there are several producers in Abruzzo that have shown the amazing potential of this grape by producing inky, black-fruit driven, chocolatey wines best enjoyed after 4 or more years of aging. This wine goes perfectly with the food the guy with that hat ordered. It goes for roughly $30.00 a bottle at a store, if you were to drink it at a restaurant it would be about $120.00
