There are things we will never know about Allah's creation, and the things Allah wants us to know he reveals it to us in the Quran.

Did God want us to know the life story of Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel, and Jesus? These can only be found in the Bible!
@Qali3isha2 жыл бұрын
@@peterhwang1860 all of those prophets are mentioned in the Quran, there’s even a chapter named after Abraham, and Jesus is mentioned directly and indirectly in the Quran 187 times. We as Muslims believe in all of those prophets. Yes Allah did want us to know the stories of all of those prophets + more, if he didn’t want us to know it wouldn’t have been mentioned in the Quran. Salam!

Maybe Dr Shabir wanted to keep the discussion as general as possible but this really generated more questions. For me as I don't speak arabic a good translation of Quran is our way to go. And the translations say souls are breathed in, taken away that gives the idea that it is separate from the physical earthly body. Again is it soul that degines us or soul and body together. Because after life also talks about bodily experience. Punishment in hell or happiness (eating reclining so on) in jannah.
@dushonhare2622 жыл бұрын
For the sake of discussion: our souls and minds intertwine , so maybe the soul is present in the body once the mind is developed. But then you have people born without a brain, and lives in a vegetal state of mind.

There is no context in that verse to speak about life source-suddenly. I, too, first thought that the verse was talking about source of life, but, per Abu’l A’ala Maududi, the verse stating where the soul comes from didn’t relate to spirit generally but the specific one that delivers the message.

Sir, why do you refer to the Bible if you don't follow Christianity? Please don't misunderstand, but it's best not to refer to it if you don't believe in it or obey its teachings. From the moment the brain develops and the heart starts beating, it helps in supplying blood to the brain, where thought processing begins, and it's believed that the soul enters the body. For the soul, a fully developed body is required to carry out physical actions."
@nadia56858 ай бұрын
This may be controversial but what do you think of how our souls are taken when we die, but also when we sleep and then given back. DMT is a chemical released in the brain large amounts when we die, but also small amounts when we sleep, any discussion? Those who take DMT have described a realm and all throughout the world they see meet the same enitites, jinns do you think? Is it souls travelling to another dimension. Relating to sleep, some have experienced, and me myself surprisingly on a casual night with my cat sleeping on me in front of the TV - 'astral projection'. Thats what got me further researching. It is abit complex or 'hippie' like topics but let me know your perspectives.

The actual adult human soul and consciousness who we know and has life, is abused and even happily subjected to the risk of death, so that society can control within her womb what we don't understand. Nevermind the soul, but even consciousness is attributed to the foetus without any knowledge.
@incognito95642 жыл бұрын
Quran 39:42 dosnt mention the soul, or ruh, it mentions nafs. The concept of dualism comes from al ghazali and ibn sina. The nafs which is analogous to consciousness is a biological / physical phenomena and hence present in the human from conception. Abortion is categorically haram, and the hadiths used to justify it by using the soul are unacceptable. They also contradict each other and hence more evidence that this was a later unjust view pushed into the mouth of the prophet pbuh

I see how the idea that soul=consciousness is very alluring and logically gracious . But i don't believe its true. Because then how about people who literally don't have that consciousness? Are they soulless then? This makes no sense

Sura Al Israa verse 31 I think best speaks to these people who abort their children, Where Allah subhanhu watalla says “And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin.”

@@walkingwith_dinosaurs a child is anyone below puberty, son or daughter. How is a fetus not a child? Fetus is a human and therefore they must be a human that’s descended from parents.

I really appreciate these videos as they give incredible insight & make one think about these things even more. Not to make it more complex but could it be possible that the Ruh Al Qudus plays a part in soul perhaps? The Jews have the Rauch Haqodesh and Christians have the Holy Spirit and in both, this mysterious entity/angel/creation is some how connected to human soul in one way or another. I thought it might be worth asking.

The nature of the spirit is an unexplained mystery in the Quran, but it is more fully explained in the Bible. The Spirit of God was present at creation (Genesis 1:2), inspired the prophets (Numbers 11:25), caused Mary to conceive the Son of God (Luke 1:35), was promised by Jesus to his disciples (John 14:16), empowered the disciples to formulate and preach the gospel (Acts 1:8), brings about the second birth (John 3:6) and lives in believers (John 14:7, Romans 8:9), instructs about God's word (John 16:13), generates righteous desires (Galatians 5:17), and gives us the words to pray (Romans 8:26), and convicts the world in terms of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8).

He can’t even read the Quranic verse correctly yet his audacity to give Fatwa on Fiqh issues 🤦🏽♂️ Habibi nobody is interested in your personal opinion seriously nobody care what your opinion is, just tell the people what the Quran says, what the sunnah says and what the Salafs said about this issue or bring the topic to the scholars let them give fatwa on ijma’a. Any fatwa that doesn’t go thru the ijma’a of Muslim scholars is considered as personal opinion. And as a Muslim I’m not interested in your personal opinion habibi keep your personal opinion to yourself.
