Simon... i have 45 years old. February was my birthday an i was struggling to find my life goals. Seems like everyone at my age have that. I Think my only goal is to be the best version of myself. Everyday i try my best to be the best that i can be. As a father, as a son and with all people around me. After i discover your videos you help me discover... trying your best to be a light in the shadows IS a life goal. Thank you. From south of Brazil.

We don't die, but what we were in life determines how that will happen. The body becomes an empty shell, the soul goes to a place where they will face who they were as a human. It's not hell per se, but it is a reckoning and the worse you were as a human will reflect what you face when you get there. Thank you so much for your videos.

Amazing. All the authentic & mature spirituoreligious traditions of the world have sooner or later realised that the somewhat crude & rudimentary binary of heaven & hell is grossly insufficient to account for the varieties of human lives & their individual deeds. Most people fall somewhere in the middle, don't they? There is hardly anyone who is either all good or all bad. And then there are others who clearly need to be reborn into different circumstances to appreciate other perspectives & to grow spiritually, but at the same time they don't deserve punishment in some hellish realm. I am amazed to learn with each passing day the gems of wisdom & depth of thought of the ancient Jewish spiritual scholars, mystics & teachers. It is so so similar to those of the East, but with God at its centre, not just the individual & his ego & his journey. Beautiful.

AS a child I've been told that the soul is eternal...🤔 When I laid in bed ( supposed to sleep ) I tried sometimes to Imagine the phenomenon of eternity... Feeling frightened by this Idea... Later I understood that what Had scared me was the point of View of a temporary phisical being ! The 3-dimensional body is just a moment in time, your body is on the journey through the time of physical existence, an entirely 4-dimensional phenomenon ! If the soul arrives Well , without getting distracted by dark entities, you may look on time seeing things and beings from their beginning to their end... Outside of time... Yet bound to the life-energy of this planet as a cell ,a child of the universe ! Life is a chance for improvement, realising Errors, unfolding individual abilities... Though it can't die the soul may also get sick or wounded what could even influence your next incarnation... The Earth ist a given playground for her children, a gift our Father to enjoy a physical existence, Material necessities are a logical consequence... The body is part of the gift of life what should bei appreciated too ! And should Not forget to thank for the physical pleasures we can experience by being alive... with wisdom, dignity , respect and responsibility ...

Camp, this is something I was not only one experiencing it that night. Thank you.

Dear Rabbi Jacobson, Please consider: can a blind man see with his spirit, soul, inner energy? Can a deaf man hear with his inner ear? Why would he be able to do so after his death, when he has lost even all of his sensoric faculties? I find it impossible to believe a personality doesn't fade away completely after death. And, mind you, I am fine with the idea of absolute rest of the soul: it only makes me more thankful for each day of the short span of life that we enjoy...

Did you really think that you were born just to exist for 30 or 50 or 80 years? Are you on death row, patiently waiting to be executed? Where can you possibly go after death? There is nowhere to go: you are always here. There is no path of non-existence. Ask yourself why you wake up in the morning. What is the fundamental essence for why, after going to sleep, you don't fade into oblivion forever and ever. If you have no experience of "eternal absolute rest" then don't speak of such things. It is beyond your experience. You don't happen. Time and personality happen through you. Day and night happen through you. You are the gateway through which change seemingly occurs. A human is much more than what you think. It is the culmination of billions of years of work. If you only knew how hard it is to get a body like this, it would be too much to bear.

@@reneburger4317 There is a why, you just don't know it. Everything in the physical universe has a cause and an effect. Now the ontic basis of existence itself has no cause, but "everything else" is built on top of something else. That "everything else" includes life-- birth/waking and death/sleeping. All you know experientally is life, and through it there has never been a time when you were not.

Rabbi, the ego wants to want more than it wants to have, for getting what it wants exposes that the lack did not get fulfilled with the wanted. What you’re taking about is circumstantial evidence of the soul. I know (as I have ) one can see one’s soul directly. Maybe it’s similar to the Mt Sinai effect you described in one of the videos. The ego not wanting to let go of the wanting might reject having by various forms of denial. Presumption might be one of them.

What I believe is that the soul goes back to where it came from. I had a vision where I saw souls departing from people and going upward to....only the Almighty, Creator of the universe knows. I once saw a soul enter a woman's body who was pregnant. Maybe some people would not believe what I'm saying, I don't really care. I don't know why I was able to experience it, all I can say is that there's purpose for everything, including my visions.

What mercy in the New Testament?? Human SACRIFICE was required a ruthless, torturous death of a supposed perfectly innocent person for completely guilty people. There is no mercy in such a payment being required! Same as the bank will take your home if you don’t pay the price. The only way to save your home is someone pays the price for you. That’s not the bank showing you mercy!! The Old Testament God never gave up on his people. Hosea 6:6 “For I desire goodness, not sacrifice; obedience to God , rather than burnt offerings.” God of the Old Testament has been lied about so much it’s criminal! The god of the NT does require sacrifice and suffering to be payed to him so it’s NOT the same god as the Old Testament. I can never unsee this truth I have seen about the NT teachings. We just have to agree to disagree because NT teaching has a kind of mercy that is terrifying to me.

Mercy is different than Metaphorically sacrificing a Being Daily because you keep making the same bad choices. If you’re a parent, It gets old telling your child to stop doing the same thing you just told them not to do.. Mercy is: Not being removed the moment we make the same mistake twice.

Rabbi love the wisdom, wisdom is supreme.. One can tell whether a man is clever by his answers. You can tell whether a man is wise by his questions. It requires wisdom to understand wisdom ,the music is nothing if the audience is deaf. Science is organize knowledge, wisdom organize life. The Sun rises for all life forms on this sacred planet ,it will not be divided by interlect, race ,religion etc. We just one human race, creations of the most powerful force, Religion, our humanity ,sadly we all so divided, but not by the Power of our Divine.

Oh! That was a great episode. It's a honor and privilege for me to have found such great source of knowledge and wisdom. You can have internet(informations) over the powerline (brut energy). You can have "internet" (informations) over the air as WIFI. You can also have power (electricity energy) over the air. TV and radio are infos and power over the air. Imagine the highest possible carrier (ADN) energy beam striking every particules existing are it's observe them. Sometime matter permit human individual life. It's always emptiness that is filling it's insatiable appetite for finding new and interesting experiences or just the hope of finding it. Electricity is animating the fridge still a only a fridge. What makes computer useful is the fusion of the software(structured electricity), material and brut electricity. Now add peer to peer information redundancy and sharing and we are closer to a soul type structured energy The trick is our sens of individuality coming from the matter that was crossed or not. It's always the same information striking different matter. Souls carry informations, but also emotions(stored energy), softwares cannot do that. We are solitons.

None of your expertise in talking about soul . It is clearly mentioned in Alquran that the existence of soul before the creation of physical body of human beings. The existence of soul had started at some point of time long before the creation of physical being and Allah had asked every soul about Him and each of them was made confession that Allah is the only God. Now, the confession of faith is tested by creation of physical being and soul is embedded into it. That is what are here now being tested of religious faith according to His words in the sacred books of Zabur, Injeel , Torah and alquran. The first three have gone unnoticed by amendments and distortions. The final revelation alquran has been preserved and won't experience any changes until doomsday.
