I am from Europe I don't know much about NASCAR could you tell me what kind of engine they use???

@@fernandollorente1485 they use 90° pushrod v8's with 5.8L of displacement, and use carburetors. Usually run at about 850hp flat out, rev close to 10k RPMs. They have to be rebuilt after a couple races because they run them so hard for so long. On superspeedway tracks, like Talladega and Daytona, they use restrictor plates to limit the airflow to the engine, limiting its horsepower output so that racing of those tracks is safer, because you can literally hold the pedal down the entirety of the track, and that makes the cars dangerously fast to race with. This year however, they used a more aggressive aero package that increases downforce to the wheels so that theres more drag so the cars can run without restrictor plates.

Pushrod v8s only, rear wheel drive only, carburetors only, nearly identical body designs, identical frames and chassis, identical tires, the list goes on. NASCAR is structured so that nobody has an unfair advantage over the competition, so really each race is like a lottery, there is a huge skill curve and usually the best drivers with the best tuned cars take the win. Nascar may look like a bunch of cars just going in circles, but those cars are super heavy and take a lot of skill to drive properly and well enough to consistently win races.

Its always amazing to see the speed and hear the sound on the tv, knowing that they're doing this in 3500 pound "stock" style cars and understanding how difficult that would be, then you go to a race and see the racing in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. Tv doesn't show you the back end of the cars swinging around as they enter the corner, it doesnt show you how when they come off the corner towards the wall, the back end is swing out towards it, and they run the grove as close to that outside wall as they can when on exit..... Then, how they kick inside just a tad down the straight aways, and right before they get to the entrance of the next corner, they kick towards the wall at the last second, then snatch the wheel left to get the back end kicked out again right before they dive into the corner, its the most subtle and short move that they can do, and sometimes at dover, the camera can sort of catch the car movement and ahow it doing this, but when you go live, its plain as day. And seeing them literally ride on the edge of keeping the back of the car from fully coming around is the most impressive display of physical abilities i think anyone can come to understand. I've never seen anything like it. There are a lot of racing series and alot of cars, and there are alot of cars that can go way faster than these cars in terms of design. But man, taking something THIS heavy, with a TON of power, with less surface area contact in these tires then most others series makes me think that some of the Best Drivers in the world, race stock cars for a living.

Since i found a way to watch Nascar here in Germany, what i used to do like 20 years ago when it was broadcasted on Eurosport, I cannot watch F1 any longer. This V8 Sound is just music to my ears and the way these guys are racing each other is just amazing. Congratulations to Martin Truex jr. for winning his 1st Title. Can't wait for 2018 season to start.

The year is 2051. The electric vehicle has long since replaced the automobile of old. Even the once loud sound of a jet engine has been quieted down to a whisper through noise canceling technologies. Your 10 year old child, which has never heard the sound of an internal combustion engine in their life, comes with you to their first nascar race. You remember those warm summer nights, and the sounds of late models from the local speedway, echoing through the woods. You wonder what it will be like to hear those old sounds from your childhood, up close and in person again. The crowd is ripe with anticipation. An old man works his way up to a standing microphone, with the help of his wife by his side. He goes without introduction, but most people call him Junior. It’s been 50 years since his fathers death on this very track. One of the last places on earth where fuel turns into fire inside of a screaming relic of human engineering. “Drivers! Start! Your! Engiinnnneeeessss!!!!!” 40 sleeping monsters suddenly come alive. You can feel the vibration of their roars down your spine. Your child looks at you wide eyed and nervous. The green flag waves. In the distance, a rumble begins to grow. There’s heat and dust kicking into the air. The individual cars form a single organism that breaths fire. The rumble turns into a roar, the roar turns into a violent storm. Suddenly your senses become overwhelmed. Your vision becomes blurry. Your breathing starts to speed up. The symphony of finely tuned burning metal cylinders hits you with a force of energy that you forgot had even once existed in man made machines. Your eyes start to get wet. You look to your side, and your child has the biggest smile on their face that you’ve ever seen.
