The Sound of Silence was originally released as "The Sounds of Silence" in 1964 by Simon and Garfunkel, and Toni and I have been planning to do this one for literally years now. I'm glad I finally got to realize my dream of becoming Art Garfunkel, at least for a moment. Also, I had never heard Disturbed's version of this song until looking it up in preparation for this video, and astoundingly, it seems more people know that version than the original! They're both worth a listen. :)

When I was in elementary school, I think it was grade 4 or 5, our teacher made us learn this song. It was many years before I understood it, but my point is that it's been with me for the past 53 years. In that time there have been a handful of covers that I found worthy of the original. I've rarely seen that technique. In fact, the real question is: what instrument doesn't Toni know how to play? I'm sure she can play the drums. But maybe not the harp, because it's a complicated and rare instrument? Haha! We are lucky!

Reina's voice is unique. Her voice is neither thin nor very husky, but it's very comfortable and soft. Her singing style is also light and warm. I want to listen to it no matter how much I listen to it. Tony's guitar and harmony are also great. It's a fantastic combination
