The sounds of Trout Lake (near the Little Trout Lake portage) // ASMR

This is one of a few BWCA lakes that allow gas-powered boats (as long as it's under 25hp).
Having a gas-powered boat provides a nice balance of peace and quiet while allowing people to fish and explore this beautiful area. It also allows you to bring a bit more camping gear than you would with a canoe.
We camped on the north west part of the lake near the portage to Little Trout Lake.

Beautiful area. I have been on Lake Vermillion several times but never ventured over the portage into Trout Lake.

You should! It is a beautiful lake worth checking out if you have a canoe or a small boat. You may need a permit though, even if you're not camping.
