Seinfeld Season 07 Episode 06 - one of the more memorable characters of the show. I do not own or claim to own the rights to this. Just putting it here for people to laugh.

@@Joe_Parmesan Okay, as for the Spanish guy? That was minor. All the people angry about this in 2018...the entire concept for this show back in the 80s was "a show about nothing composed entirely of unlikeable main characters". I don't know why you're all complaining that Elaine was unreasonable. No one led you to believe she would act like a nice, reasonable, well-behaved, good human being. The show wouldn't have worked if Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer were those types of people.

Privacy Lover They are complaining that Elaine didn’t get her comeuppance in the episode. Yes Seinfeld is a show about nothing, but in a lot of the episode in the series our main “heroes” usually get what they deserve for the obnoxious asshole things they do. The victory given to Elaine is bitter to everybody which is why they have issues.
@andrewfrancis72725 жыл бұрын
Agree with you mate. In real life people aren't always agreeable, reasonable, or well behaved. Seinfeld was special because it reflected that --- It wasn't TV fake people.
@nowandaround3125 жыл бұрын
BigK13372 I only saw one comment making that point, which I don't think is a valid point. The Soup Nazi was obnoxious too. I really doubt she bothered publishing his recipes anyway. Even if she did, I'm sure people still bought his soup. Most people don't want to bother making soup themselves and no one can make it exactly like he can even if they have the recipe. The rest of the comments were all people looking at the situation from a normal perspective who don't understand what the show was about and felt the need to complain about Elaine's obvious bad behavior or defend the Soup Nazi instead of just enjoying the comedy.

That is one thing about the Seinfeld characters--so self-centered they were willing to burn everything to the ground at the expense of everyone else to get what they want--in this case, retribution for a perceived slight. The characters were morally bankrupt--but the show was so danged funny and creative.

it would be even funnier if she raised her hand like one of those casual nazi salutes

There was also a real life Soup Nazi in Toronto, her name was Bela L. She ran with an iron fist a place called Sandwich Board and would push around customers and staff just like this, even harassing them for using "her" garbage containers for any reason. She eventually lost customers and her business, and then became a security guard, and her character never changed after that....

Elaine is really the bad guy here, the soup guy was just doing his job to make sure his store ran well. Pettiness to a T

When I watched this episode for the very 1st time? I died of laughter! What Genius writers for Seinfeld! Hands down this the funniest sitcom ever! If you mention anywhere today: "The Soup Nazi?" Everyone knows exactly who you're referring to. Anyone born in the '70s, '80s & '90s, anyway! This episode never gets old!

Liam Johnson, what exactly is "Just for get it let it go"? Is that pig Latin? Swahili? Please, instead of commenting on stupid Seinfeld videos on you tube, please go back to school, go get a webster's dictionary, hooked on phonics, anything, just don't be a dunce your entire life.

In case people were wondering, the real soup man would require you to ask for bread in the line. If you didn’t, he would charge you $2, and would raise the price if you complained. There is an NBC Dateline story on this on KZbin.

Theres a man i refer to as the "pizza nazi" in Twain Harte, CA. No parties larger than 6, children are frowned upon, NO customizing orders, and NO food to go, not even leftovers. The dude is super serious and Ive watched him kick people out within minutes of entering. But man oh man is that some good pizza.

A main character getting their revenge, and it actually succeeding, is rare in the world of sitcoms. So when Elaine won it just made this episode even better!
