This was a classic at the Hippo in Cardiff back in the day, hammered not only by Jon but TdV and resident Ollie Jaye. Managed to get a copy for myself and learnt from Ollie in the booth one night as to how to play feck with the crowd, just by playing with the EQ and gain (which was all you had at the time) at the breakdown. Happy times!

You’re right that you’re Wrong , the original track was by Chaka khan but the vocal on this is by her sister Taka Boom and was written by Ashford & Simpson … probably cost less to get the vocal resung than it would have been to sample the original and what better way to get it sounding like the original vocal by keeping it in the family … you would only pay the publishing to the original writers and having it resung would have probably been done as a session singer thus not paying out on performance if it charted and played on radio .
