Hi Harvey, Yes the Rhino's horn is just like our nails and hair. It are constantly growing and will grow make over time if the rhino horn is trimmed without cutting down to the root. What Rhino Poachers do unfortunately is cut off as much of the Rhino's horn as possible, in most cases the animal is shot of killed during the process, and they will cut well past the root of the horns and remove them entirely.

I will send my nail clippings and hair trimmings wherever needed. They can call it spoiled American woman keratin. LOL also these poachers just need to understand the Rhino’s just cannot reproduce fast enough. With the length of pregnancy after it takes so many years to reach maturity for males and females. SAD
