Hey Christian I can confirm what others have pointed out the newer copy of the Spanish Blu-ray doesn't have the errors the Release has I now own both. The newer one has the original artwork and comes in a black Blu-ray case and looks amazing. Well worth it.

Fright Night 2 is so underrated, i dont think its as good as the original but i think it was last year i revisited it and i just remember thinking i wouldnt argue with anyone who says its the best.

Hey dude. Just a heads up, there is an updated Spanish bluray that gets rid of a couple of digital glitches and the freezing in the version you have. I've had both the one you have, and the new Spanish one. The new one has the white cover with the eyes and mouth like you showed. I honestly think this is one of the best 80s horror sequels. Very under appreciated.

If you see the unburned outer edge (where the silver burn meets the non burn area) then it is a burned disc. Look in the inner ring's markings to find the brand and maybe BD-R? Look also with a bright flash light shinning on the label side as you look at the burned side or play side to see any blank recordable bluray manufacture markings through it.

Yeah, I have a newer fright night part 2 Spain version Blu-ray that comes with the classic white cover vampire lady as the front cover. And to my amazement, the Blu-ray looks fantastic. It looks far superior than the DVD and other bootlegs available. This is the best version we’re gonna get until the US blu ray version comes out or a 4K version later hopefully. But very happy with this Spanish Blu-ray version.

It's a bootleg, the disc surface is a dark blue from what he showed. It should be silver if it's an officially pressed disc.

It's a gray market disc meaning it's not official nor is it illegal. It's also a factory glass pressed disc. Not burned

Mine reads BD-Rom in my Sony player. However, it won't play in that player. It plays fine in my PS5. It doesn't freeze but gets a little pixelated in a couple of spots. Get your hands on the 84 Entertainment collectors edition.

I put in an old dvd copy that I have. Stopped it and bought this one. Glad I did. The picture quality was noticeably better as expected from a Blu ray. Movies that have a great repeat watch value to them are worth the upgrade to Blu Ray and 4K.

DVDs briefly froze at the midpoint due to the layer switch to fit them on a disc. I wonder is that the reason why FN 2 skips on the blu ray - it's a HD remaster/upres of an old DVD

You hit a home run with this Christian. Is part 2 better than 1? No, but it's just as good IMO. I think the character of Evil really elevated 1 and part 2 was missing that element or should I say the actual character. But with the new characters, I think they kind of filled that gap in a different way.

Fright Night part 2 is a perfect example of a sequel done RIGHT! I grew up on those movies, and the soundtrack by Brad Fiedel is a banger, unfortunately unavailble. Hopefully it will get the release it deserves one day. I stay hopeful....Just a couple of years ago the Ghostbusters 2 score was released after 30 something years! Though not as good as Elmer Bernstein's original I have a soft spot for it. Thought to have been 'lost', well they found it! But im a massive soundtrack geek. Just give me crocodile dundee 2 already! Ordered mine years ago, very happy with it and always have been. Mine doesn't freeze tho. Its got DTS-HD audio and a pretty good picture that is no different from studio blu-ray releases circa 2012 or so.

I loved part 2 of course not as much as the original but I'm glad I rented it from the vhs store when it came out. I'm glad they brought some of the original cast back for part 2. That was uncle Rico from Napolean Dynamite 2nd time playing a werewolf, he was also the werewolf in the monster squad. And Dandridge's sister was hot 🔥

84 entertainment german blu ray is the one to get. It comes in a nice mediabook. That Spanish release is just a bootleg of the German release. It also has a couple of picture glitches which is why I tossed it and got the german release.

I actually bought this based on one of your "10 Horror Blu-Rays I Want You To Own" videos and jumped at it. I'm very pleased with it. Is it perfect? No, but for a film that has no other good release, it's pretty good. The freezing moments feel to me like the old layer switch glitch that some DVD's had. It wasn't always prominent, but you could sometimes catch it. Not saying that's what it is, but what it reminds me of. I also think it's a legit copy, but I'm no expert. lol Personally, I still prefer the first one, but this is a really good and fun sequel.

That's actually the better version. It doesn't have that freezing issue he described and it's got the original cover artwork. The company also does a great Blu-ray version of Watchers with Corey Haim. Really good film if you haven't seen it.

I have the 84 Entertainment (German) standard bluray of this w/ the hotel artwork, as well as a MoD bluray this guy named Nightmare Fuel (who used to sell on Instagram & EBay, but no longer does) did with the white artwork. Both have decent video transfers for the current situation w/ this movie.

It’s not a bootleg. I have that version too. Some movies can be released in other countries without problem. Most of the time that happens a lot with horror and cult movies. It’s now that boutique labels like Vinegar Syndrome, Severin are making it possible to put them out in the United States. And this version is widescreen while the one by Artisan is full frame. PS mine doesn’t feeeze at all.

The German Mediabook was legit and no bootleg. Unfortunately it's quite old and no longer available. Can't understand why this isn't released in other countries. It's quite mainstream compared to many other titles being released.

That is definitely a BD-R, unless the lighting in there is making it look different, if the disc surface is colored. It should be silver if it's an official pressed disc and look like a mirror. BD-Rs typically have a dark blue or purple hue.

Not a bootleg. This falls into the gray market so to speak. Spain has a media law where if a rightsholder does nothing with XYZ material within however many years third party distributors are allowed to come in and basically do what they please with it. This is why there was a Spanish release of 'True Lies', 'The Beach' and what you are showing here. Yes people will claim bootleg because its not studio sanctioned blah blah well these US laws aren't being recognized in Spain. This is different then say China making releases of films that are currently being sold legitimately etc. The Spanish law clearly stipulates if this film has no legit rights holder pushing a release within the Spanish market (and I assume by proxy the EU) then its open season on it. I have the Spanish release of 'The Beach' and I absolutely love it. I have no faith that Boyle or the studios will ever put that film on blu ray. He seems embarassed by that film based on recent interviews anyway. These distributors whoever they are - they are doing the lords work imo. If the studios or rights holders will drag their feet or outright forget about a film someone needs to fill that void.

The law states that the media in question is open to any distributors willing to sell it after a certain amount of inactivity. How they choose to sell the film - pressed disc or not is their choice it doesn't negate the legality if its not a pressed BD-R.

Tho only legit release is the German Blu-ray.They did first fuck up the soundtrack .But they did a fix replacment dis s .They did stereo into mono But fixed it .I guess spanish just took the same transfer hence stereo is faulty.on Both spanish releases the call The company Resen a grey zone bootleg .

Recently got a fantastic spanish blu ray steelbook with both movies and a disc of special features, gift from my son who was travelling across spain. Front picture is the original but embossed which looks superb, rear is the white cover with the female. All in a great addition of my fave vampire film and its slightly inferiror sequel to the collection and the picture quality is absolutely fine.

its definitely a bootleg, it doesnt have any company on the back, which is a must for legit BRs, the copyright thing is frankly a bit of a pulling your leg to pretend to be a legal thing for those a bit naive, but I mean if it looks fine and there isn't any other way to have it, Im not against these spanish BR. Theres people, pretty misguided and daft, but who think the Spanish BR of true lies looks better than the 4k and I'm not even kidding
