Actually, he has been an outstanding member of the Judicial Committee and was a real bulldog in the hearings. I was already a big supporter of him because of all the times I witnessed his work and dedication to the application of the law. He is a Constitutional scholar. He put up with NO nonsense. It appears after being elected Speaker, SOMETHING has happened. No one seems to know. His priorities have clearly changed as he has appeared to support the Dems on important bills. My theory, for lack of any other explanation, is that he/his family has been threatened in some way.
