This song is how I learned about Nelson Mandela. Then years later I was lucky enough to hear him speak in Barcelona after his release from prison. Just pure chance. I walked around a corner, heard a big crowd, walked towards it, and there he was, Nelson Mandela. Amazing.

I agree, but you can't disagree with him when he says: 'I just wrote a song.' But the song made a massive impact. I had never heard of Mandela, and have been interested in his story ever since I heard that song.
