A versatile group of folk, bluesy & rock n roll.....just MAGIC. Ya, I believe in magic. Sebastian & the Spoonful played all over a.m. radios right along beside the British Invasion. Always good songs!!!!

The guy singing is the great Jack Bruce. He wrote the music to White Room and a poet/ songwriter, Peter Brown supplied the lyrics. My favorite Cream song. And you are right, it has a definite psychedelic sound.

As much reverence as I have for Joe and all of the band, I don’t know why he insists repeating the ‘we’re lucky someone pushed record…”. That song took a good long process to make, outside of lowering the key at one stage, fife different lead vocal takes, of which the final were mixed from, and many takes of the backround harmony. It wasnt just one lucky moment.

I was 17 when I fell in love with a classmate who was 16 and was seen as an ugly-duckling girl back then (but not to me). We got married when we were 20, and last year we celebrated our 50th anniversary. She is still a beauty!

This song rings true with our abusive father. "You're only hit until you cry, after that, you don't ask why". Our Mom got it worse than any of us children. She tried to fight back.

I hear here and there in Shorts songs from the past. This one its original is from D.N.A and Suzanne Vega (1990). In a Dutch program Suzanne Vega tells the origin behind the story of the song Toms Diner.

I'm looking at this thinking wow, she aged....no disrespect. Thing is....that means I aged too 🤣🤣🤣. But we don't in our heads, we hear that music and we're back there when we first heard it. Her collaboration with the Tears for fears guys is absolute GOLD!!! One of the best albums ever and Oleta's voice made perfection even more glorious.

Very well said ! Our community and culture has built up over centuries so we accept and protect all our citizens. We should not allow new arrivals with a medeival mindset to overturn that and threaten any of our citizens. United we stand, divided we fall !

Compare these incredible lyrics to the crap that passes today. The perfect marriage of melody and lyric. Anyone that wants to really learn how to write a song should study Don McLean.

Bad musicians, bad music, bad songs. The only redeeming trait of that useless band is that they quickly became more palatable to the sissies, wankers and daddy's boys who pretended to be punks and got tired of slumming it after a few months.
