Hi Ned, great video. Truly a nice room for the cost. I too liked your lawn mower. It also nice to know where to stay if you need to go to the consulate. If one is going to stay over 29 days. Try to have fun.

yeah lovely place, stayed there before going into Cebu and onwards and used my discount card as I went back towards airport. can find a few good hotels about same money in Cebu and lapu lapu that I would recommend. not sure if it was here that has different wifi password for different floors and lobby and if u front rooms it picks up lobby wifi better.. standard and deluxe rooms were good and staff were lovely

One day I was sitting in an expat bar/restaurant and noticed three guys cutting the grass the same as you. The owner stopped by and I asked him why not get them a lawnmower, they'd be done in 15min. He said they would destroy the it in 5. In all my time in the PI, I have yet to see a Lawnmower. Except at the golf course.

It actually has the first and foremost requirement of anything in The Philippines.... an armed guard at the entrance. But with the horrifying terrorist problems there, emanating from Mildanao, it does not represent a safe enough haven for westerners though. Us British are warned against travelling to Mildanao, Palawan, Dumaguete.

Ned is correct. I was just there last month. Traveled with Taxi from the airport, across the bridge to the Waterfront hotel. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately. Sunday morning departure it took us about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

@@PhilippineDreams I stayed at the Toyoko Inn when I was there. it was okay and the breakfast buffet is good but you can't check in until 4 PM strictly enforced. I got there around noon and they let me store my bag, but I had to wait around the mall for four hours which kind of sucked because I just arrived from USA and I wanted to take a shower and change clothes.

If you are in manila stay at the conrad hilton that is a Beautiful hotel.

Paul, I just stayed at I'M Hotel in Makati... Strange name but very nice for the price. $85.00 . 5 star...

@@flawaii-pines6858 that sounds good the Conrad was around 150.00 a night depending on the room you get. What i liked about it was that it was on the bay and connected to the mall of asia

@@paulhuval6579 That sounds like a nice place to stay when trying to tackle M.O.A. I need a hotel after going there too... That place is Uuuuuuge! Also in the $150 range I would say Manila Peninsula is my favorite. The "tea time" appitzer is my wife and my favorite things to order in the lobby.

@@flawaii-pines6858 the food was good at the hotel and it was just a 10 minute ride from the airport. They will pick you up to. The price for the ride was a little pricey but you did not have to worry about anything.

spectacular? Four Seasons is spectacular...this is short time motel quality if you don't mind the walk of shame past the judgmental lobby staff...and Chinese New Year is in January or February Ned.
