Season 16 The Final Chapter - Part 1: It all begins when our hero Peter Parker decides to take the special step of proposing marriage to Mary Jane, which he tells his Aunt May, whom he is visiting, he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. A happy May shares memories of the youth with Uncle Ben that they experienced together, and counseling that a husband should think of his wife. Will Peter be able to live like that? To which Parker answers yes, and hopefully. May gives her engagement ring to Peter. And she also tells Peter that time is not infinite. Meanwhile, the news reports the return of...Norman Osborn. The man who was presumed dead. There were police and doctors all around him, and he was lost and injured. Sir, we're gonna get you out of here. Can you tell us your name? Can you tell us who you are? Norman: My...name is...Norman Osborn. This shocks everyone, especially Harry and Peter. Sudden return. Back from the dead? The man who revealed Peter's secret identity with ease, and nearly killed him and those close to him. The Green Goblin. One of Spider-Man's nightmares. It broke Peter and especially Harry, thinking back to season 10 when they confronted each other. That's it...It's all very confusing. However, Norman Osborn doesn't remember anything, as it turns out. He had lost his memory, and it was weighing on Harry like he was being tormented by his conscience. As for Flash Thompson aka Agent Venom, he went on a mission teaming up with Ben Reilly, the events of Secret Wars brought them closer together and they became good friends. Liz misses Flash, but is getting used to the superhero life she observed. Also, her friendship with Gwen and Mary Jane has grown close enough that they have helped Aunt May at F.E.A.S.T together from time to time. A new character appears in the story, Mark Allan, Liz's brother. In the past this man has been a prisoner for stealing a car organized to pay off gambling debts. This story shows us Liz who didn't want all of this. Her father Adrian Toomes was a Vulture and did monstrous things and she would not want her brother to follow in his father's footsteps. He tries to change in his sister's eyes, and become a better version of himself, but as they say, "You can't run from the past and you can't hide from it. It will catch up with you anyway, because it's a part of you." But Mark continues to do questionable things behind Liz's back, which Spider-Man observes, and he tried to encourage him to take the good road. Spider-Man: Mark Allan? Mark: Do you know my name? Spider-Man: Liz has told me about you. You're not giving in to your gambling addiction again, are you? Look, I know you're not a bad person. But don't go down that road. Liz wouldn't want you to. She'd suffered enough and all she wanted was her brother by her side. Mark was silent but continued to listen to Spider-Man, and eventually Spidey flies away and Mark decides to be with Liz. She's been missing her family and maybe this is his chance to redeem himself. Gwen and Mary Jane discuss Peter, and about the transition of the next step in Mary Jane and Peter's relationship. Gwen: You love Peter and he loves you, I think that's the most important thing in life. And together you'll overcome everything. Mary Jane: I hope that's true. Gwen still stays by Peter's side as a friend. No matter what happens, she will always come to the rescue and support Peter. And she also tried to be there for Harry, who was experiencing mental problems. Because of her presence, he could stay mentally alert and it brought them closer together more. She really wanted to reconcile Harry and Peter. We all make mistakes one way or another, but it's time to end this war, and learn to forgive each other. As for J. Jonah Jameson, the fact that Peter is Spider-Man still shocked him, and changed him for the better. Their relationship was that of father and son, and he tried to help Peter when it came to crime in the city, or any global danger. In a way, his worldview changed. Jameson: All my life, not knowing what your true purpose is, I have constantly written angry articles about you, truly trusting myself. It is only now, thanks to you, that I have found the truth. Forgive me, Peter. Maybe it's because of you that I'll find the answers to my questions. Maybe it's because of you that it won't all be for nothing, son. I think things are starting to look up. Maybe losing Norman's memory is a second chance. A second chance to live the life Norman lost and give the best to Harry? And so the friends decide to gather at Coney Island like old times. Harry begins to smile, as does Peter, which Mary Jane notices. Mary Jane: You look so happy. Peter: Harry got a second chance, and it's funny, but I feel like I've been given a second chance too. Mary Jane: You're gonna make an awesome team

Part 2. Sitting on the Ferris wheel they watched the fireworks, and kissed. There's also a brief cameo of Eddie Brock calling Peter. After the events of Season 13, they tried to keep in touch, and they talked on the phone. Peter: Eddie! Eddie: How's my brother doing? I hear you're making progress as a teacher, you're doing great, Pete. Peter: So much has been happening while you've been away, Eddie. And you're really missed. We all miss you around here. Eddie: I know that. And I miss you as well, and we'll definitely meet up. Things are starting to look up for Norman. He is running his company Oscorp again, and is proud of the way Harry has shown leadership in his father's absence. He's trying to build a relationship with his son. But Harry's conscience was still weighing on him, and it was breaking him from the inside out. More he got that Norman built a good relationship with Peter, who told Parker that he was like a son to him, and admired his intelligence, and was ready to help if anything. That moment was a turning point for Harry, and he hated Peter. Going into his room, and opening his suitcase, he pulls out a vial of green globulin, and drinks it. The Green Goblin returns. He tries to gain power over the city, and offers an alliance to some to gain influence and an army to follow him. Those who do not follow him or who pose a particular threat will know his wrath and hatred. Becoming Bigman and taking over the city. And so, Mark Allan is kidnapped. He succumbs once again to his gambling addiction and becomes indebted to Blackie Gaxton. Seeing no other way to pay off his debts, Mark becomes the Green Goblin's test subject. He injects him with a special solution that causes Mark's skin to glow and gives him superhuman abilities. But Mark didn't want this, he didn't want to be Molten Man and begged for it to stop. The Green Goblin decides not to show up in view and uses his wits and blackmail to manipulate Mark into believing he is human again. Secretly controlling Mark's abilities, forcing him to fight Spider-Man. But Allan didn't want to do it, but the Goblin insisted that if Mark disobeyed him, he would have to say goodbye to his sister Liz Allan, as well as to a normal life. So he goes into battle with Spider-Man as if it was his battle for his family, though it probably was, because he was fighting for Liz, and he would go to great lengths for her. Mark: I'm sorry, Spider-Man. I'm sorry...but I have to do this. Spider-Man: Mark, don't do this. Think about Liz. Let me help you. Mark: I've had enough doctors and scientists! I don't want any more! A watching Liz cried and begged her brother to stop. How much can you play with your life? Spider-Man defeats him and poured water on him, thinking it might help. And the Green Goblin watching returns Mark to his former form. Mark is defeated at the hands of a superhero and goes to jail again. Another broken family. Liz tried so hard to keep Mark from repeating his father's mistakes and ended up being victimized. One of the stabs to the heart had been delivered. Harry overhears his father talking to Oscorp at a regular meeting and finds out that they are going to sell the company without telling Norman. Norman: You can't do this to me. I started this company. You know how much i sacrificed?! To which they say, "You're out, Norman. And then comes Thanksgiving Day, where they celebrate the holiday, and a green goblin bursts in, seeking revenge and justice as he thought. Jameson calls Peter and asks him to come here. The rumors about the green goblin were true, and he's back. And there is a fight between the two, in which the Goblin has given Spider-Man a choice. Chase him or save people from the bomb. The toughest choice will be made by the strongest. Our hero chooses the first option, and while Jameson leads people out, Spider-Man tries to find five bombs that he disables. And the goblin kills the staff by saying his last line: Out, am i?! Spider-Man thought it was all Norman's doing his dirty game, and following him there was a dialog between the two. It was you. You killed them that day. Why?! Green Goblin: If you want to know that, you're gonna have to catch me. The two had a city-wide chase in which Spider-Man calculatedly tried to find the Goblin's vulnerability by parrying his web bombs, also trying to disable the glider by punching a gap. He also remembered the limp in his leg, which might help him figure out who the Goblin really was. The Goblin was whisked away to the Osborn mansion and underneath the mask was...Harry. Spider-Man: No way. Harry...You...Again?! Harry: No...It's not even my costume, I swear!

Part 3. Norman enters the room, and Spider-Man is surprised that Norman isn't limping, and Osborn notices a vial of drunken green globulin. Early Stage Experience. Very unstable and addictive. Norman: You stole that from Oscorp, didn't you? Why do such dangerous things?! And such a stupid thing?! Harry responding that he does it all for his father, throws him off with all his might and Spider-Man saves Norman by catching him with his web. Harry: You told me to man up. So i took the Green to become the son you always wanted me to be. To become a man, like you. After which Harry passed out, saying he doesn't remember anything. He can't be a goblin. Again. Or can he?...Harry talks about how he shouldn't have done it, and how he's sorry. Norman: Under the influence of the green, his subconscious created the creature. I won't let that happen! I'll tell them I was the goblin. Besides, I'm the one who invented it, I'm a suspect! No. He needs you. Norman: This is all my fault...I'll help him, I swear! If you let me. If you give him to the cops, and if they find out the goblin was Harry, they'll kill him. Please. He's my only child. "And my best friend." - Peter was saying in his head. Harry was under globulin, and it wasn't his own decision, and everyone is entitled to make a mistake. It wasn't out of self-interest and he was under the control of another being. Peter finds himself in this situation when he was in a merger with the symbiote, and just like in the case of Uncle Ben. Spider-Man: Goblin is gone. Forever. Leaving a mystical mystery that can never be solved. Spidey flies away. Peter decides to propose to Mary Jane, and she accepts. Norman, watching the flight, discovers his secret laboratory, which shows the cameras of the entire city. And the cameras where he's been watching Peter Parker. And he begins a monologue that reveals the truth. Norman: You look so young. And I could kill you. Right now, so easily. What i wouldn't have given...All those times before to have had you like this. So...helpless. But fate, it's tricky, isn't it? I come here to destroy you. But to come back, I need to get stronger. Then Norman enters his secret lab, which contains the OZ serum mixed with Norman's DNA. But I will say, it's been an education. I've been following you all these years watching you grow since our last battle. And to be clear, nothing is forgiven. There will be a reckoning. I promise you, Peter Parker. That you will die. Harry wasn't a green goblin. It was a hoax to draw suspicion away from himself. It was Norman all along.

@@tommy_x19 It's probably not going to be Gwen as Norman would probably see it as somewhat of a pointless kill, especially since there are bigger targets in Peter's life. Could be Flash in battle but I highly doubt it, Flash could probably survive due to the Symbiote's healing capabilities, you already said MJ ain't dying so unless you go back on that, I have my main suspects topped : Aunt May(Personally I would not go that route as it'd be the most obvious choice. Death is always going to be sudden, it's kind of not really that sudden when you grab the oldest person in the list, who happens to be a 60 year old woman.) Harry(Sounds like something Norman would do to blackmail Peter and then blame Peter for his own kill) Ben(The brotherly bond between Peter and Ben is definently something Norman could take advantage of, altho he'd have to manage to ACTUALLY Take on Peter and Ben together or split the two but even then, it'd be extremely hard for him to do) MJ(Welp there's always the option where you were pulling a WB DC Comics on me when you told me she wasn't dying.) EDIT : Last Suspect would be Peter himself, as per Ultimate Fallou but I highly doubt your plot is headed that way.

Man, this has been one long and awesome journey, my friend. You did a wonderful and fantastic job with this series, and i can't wait to see how it all ends. Personally, i wouldve done one more season before this thats basically a jab at Elsagate by having it crossover with Frozen or something and with Kang as the villain, mostly just as a joke, like im universe, as part of the Sony/Marvel deal (assuming that still happens in this timeline) disney demands that they do a crossover with Frozen in one of the Seasons for whatever reason, but i understand not doing that, and i also respect you for not doing that, actually. But still, though, what a ride! Seeing Peters' journey from high school to adulthood was spectacular (no pun intended), and i could easily see Grant Gustin pulling it off in strodes. I would've loved for a show like this to exist, and I'd like to think it does somewhere out there in the Multiverse. What do you plan on doing next? Oh, you should do Batman next.

Interesting visuals here. Is it just me, or did you add a little bit of purple coloring to the goblin's armor? It has taken years, but slowly the metal masked look has kind of grown on me. My biggest complaint was that it was just that solid green color. I like how they added the purple sweatshirt in No Way Home, it was a small thing, but it was just what the outfit needed.
