You should make a video yourself its actually not bad. Its not as good as the original spectrum and its also not as good as the spectrum next. But i am impressed with it nonetheless

if you do decide to do something like that please include dizzy 3. My favourite game of all time

WOW! Insanely humbled Paul, Sir! Brilliant video as always, have said it once will say it a million times, it is criminal how you don’t have more subscribers. Genuinely one of the best creators on the tube, zero bull, 127.97% effort into everything you create and upload. Mine got delivered from Amazon, sadly the box was damaged so going to send it back as I want to display the box but luckily I live around the corner from a Smyths (other toy shops are available) and picked up a mint condition one. Genuinely can’t thank you enough for taking the time and effort to read my comment, for the shout out and for having a go at the game and all I can say is sincerely apologise for the mental scar I have inflicted on you. Have messaged my mate about your upload, I’m waiting to hear back from him but rest assured Paul, you won’t be left alone tonight thinking WTF have I just played! A genuine heartfelt thank you sir! That’s made my week!

Thanks for the review. It was good for me also as I have never played that game, and i am quite interested in how that game works now. Its quite a unique game with inventory, rotating your character around to go through doors etc

@ honestly, nothing to thank me for. I have the sheer joy and pleasure of sitting back and watching your hard work so THANK YOU! The game, Frankie goes to Hollywood intrigued me because back in the day, the spectrum was new and so was the band! I would not be surprised if the game was one of the first ever created for a computer game! The band was all about shock factor, breaking the mould, upsetting the status quo and if that was the game creators check list, they hit them all and some! If you ever fathom the story of the game, please share so I can one day go to my grave in peace 🤣 Stay amazing sir!

This looks so cool I've been following it closely. I decided not to get it due to not enough space, but looks really. Could do with wheels though. That would be nice and add the cherry on top. So you can wheel it around on a lead, to show it off to people.

Frankie is one game that is actually loads better on the C64 as it has a soundtrack and extra mini-games. (Bit weird having a game about a band with no music in it, except for a tinny beeper version of 'Two Tribes' on the menu screen). The guy you play as lives in Mundanesville, with all the other boring people, but he's a follower of Frankie and wants to become a 'real person'. He has to max out the bars at the right hand side, which represent different emotions (Pleasure, Pain, Faith and Love, I believe). You play various mini-games until you max out the bars and it says 'BANG!' across the top. Then you can enter the Corridors of Power and try to find the entrance to the Pleasuredome and become a 'real person'. There's also a murder mystery in Mundanesville, where you have to collect all the clues and name the killer (answer is always the same, though.) There's TZXs of it being completed on the Speccy and Commodore.

I just wanted to make it as clear as possible. Back when i joined youtube in 2006 or whenever it was, times were simple with the platform. Ive never really got out of that mindset

Although I love the C64 sid chip, the 128k sound is the same as that of the Atari ST and has a sweet sound...some great tunes

Great review mate! What are the next 48 games you’d add to the system Paul?
@paulisthebest3uk9 күн бұрын

@@paulisthebest3ukgreat - will look forward to the games you feel should be added. The speccy had soo many classic games. There must be a thousand great games that you could add to this. Out of curiosity - how many games will a 32gig memory stick hold do you think? Maybe even the entire game catalogue potentially?
