i think it’s two things i think it’s 1.) they do it because they actually care about Barry and sees him as their son and 2.) they do it to easily manipulate Barry into doing what they want/need as Barry says in this episode. i think that’s why Barry struggles with the speed force so much

If im not wrong I remember the speedforce saying they wear the faces of the avatar's loved ones so that they feel more comfortable, I think it was mentioned in that one episode where he got his speed back after zoom took it and got stuck in the speedforce. With the state that they ended up on the CW Flash show I'll admit I was kinda glad to see a new flash when they introduced Ezra Miller it's not that I have a problem with Grant Gustin's acting or his acting as the Flash, as a matter of fact I prefer it to Ezra Miller 100% it's just the dude is stuck with a show with insanely poor writing and he is just doing the very very best he can and if it wasn't for his incredible acting I doubt that show would have lasted as long as it has as a matter of fact but still I was actually pleasantly surprised to see Ezra's take on the flash and at first I didn't like him but I eventually got to like it more, but now after all the controversy with him and stuff he pretty much screwed his career up for being an absolute idiot and a terrible human. So basically my whole point that I'm getting at here is just imagine if they were to end up bringing in Grant Gustin as the Flash in the DC movie universe or whatever it is supposed to be no, he would not only rock that character but man he would end up being even more iconic as the Flash than he is now, I'm talking like Ryan Reynolds and Robert Downey Jr. and even level of character acting where like just flat out literally nobody else would be able to play as those characters anymore aside from them, like just imagine any of the DC movies with the flash in them but instead of Ezra as the flash it was Grant instead, it would be amazing. So who knows now since they are apparently recasting all the DC actors maybe someone will have enough sense to ask Grant to come on and play as the Flash. Dude would kill it in all the right ways. Man, it took me a full rewatch to realize this, but before the death, the Speed Force is always saying "We" when it's talking about itself. But, after it's rebirth in S7, it turns to an I. Because the Speed Force was the head of the Forces before, soeaking for them and now it's on equal grounds. At least, in my own head canon that's why it changed.
