Jumping spiders were correctly placed in A tier. However, their intelligence rating should perhaps have been a little higher. Had a girlfriend who had some as pets and I swear those little things recognized her. I'm not afraid of spiders, but don't really want them crawling on me either, but these jumping spiders actually seemed to show a limited kind of dog-like affection for her. They often rode around on her during the day when she was at work and just out and about. They were actually pretty cool little creatures.

You are definitely right. I can't remember what documentary I was watching but in it the researchers believed the jumping spiders to be the smartest in the whole insect kingdom. They use their eyes to communicate with each other I guess.

@@RogerTheil Kinda pointless when there are some spider mains that have invested extra points evolving their exoskeleton trait. Stomp all you want, the darn thing takes minimal damage. And you forget that certain debuffs nullify other skils, traits and stats. Arachnophobia specifically nullifies everything related to bravery, and depending on the intensity of the debuff, it can also lower mobility to 0.

@@denmark5354 oh yeah I hate those players. Talk about an annoying playstyle to fight against. The stomp and twist combo is the only thing I've found that works against them. True, some players get hit hard by those randomized debuffs. Idk how the devs think it's fair, but I guess it's one of those sneaky nerfs they give some humans just because they know it's WAY too time consuming to quit and reroll over something like that.

You can gain resistance to that debuff through research. Very few spiders can bite you let alone kill you and most bites attributed to spiders are the fault of other household pests.

Tip for spider mains: spend 200 eveloution points on the move "summon 100" when you get damaged and you're on less than 5 health you can use it and it will summon 100 small spiders that can freak the human out so you could run (you can also use it to troll players when you kill you cause it automatically gets used when u die)

Jumping spider has a higher INT stat than pictured. It's important to have high intelligence in order to successfully calculate the kind of risks they tend to take. I would argue that they're a low S.

I would have to agree. Jumping spiders also have some of the most intelligent hunting strategies in the spider guild. They actively change their hunting patterns and maneuvers to optimize EXP gain. Data miners are still just figuring out the depth of their hunting capabilities. :D

Sammantha Mitcham absolutely, its important to remember that a small brain doesnt necessarily mean less potential max intelligence, and when it comes to jumping spiders, there are even builds that put so many points into intelligence that they can navigate hazardous environments by memorizing the map layout, hunt players out of their direct line of sight, mimic other builds’ behavior to infiltrate enemy bases, and even process remarkably high levels of visual data for their size, letting them recognize much larger entities as player models instead of just part of the map!

They’re strategists who optimise the most out of the least amount of effort. They can take out opponents 2 or 3 times the size they are. Bird eaters, like other tarantulas from the americas, are a lot less aggressive than ones from asia or africa, and make good pets (provided you have a basic idea of what you're doing).

Changing a player race manually is illegal in the Buddhist faction, and normally leads to perm banning or permanently changing a player's race to an F-Tier lightweight class such as a Canadian Soldiers. Had a Brazilian Wandering spider in my house before. We tried spooking, it didn't budge. We tried attacking it with a pole, it bit the pole. We tried fire. It didn't die. We had to stomp it with a pole 3 times and apply fire before killing it. It was too big to be left alone. Br wandering spiders are so aggressive you should approach them with caution. The mofos have no fear. Just hatred to everything in their path.

GregoryMom the issue is, human players seem to have found a way around the moderators. Obviously it's only a matter of time until they catch up but with some advancements and safeguards against nerfs like natural disasters and the spawn rate of humans all around the world decreasing the chance of a widespread nerf hitting all players it's probably just best to play a slow game until they inevitably wipe themselves out. Seems to be accelerating as of late so just wait out.

There is already a spider like that in a sense. It's a type of jumping spider in SE Asia. In multiple studies it has shown to have it's own form of communication that it only uses with members of it's species. It also has been observed to actually have higher intelligence than almost all mammals other than primates, dolphins, or whales. When hunting larger targets it will actually throw rocks as a form of distraction, use previously caught small insects as bait etc...

Alright, I've been browsing your videos for some time now and I like them a lot, but I wanted to address all the butthurt lowtier classes complaining about Humans being "broken and bullshit," or that "The devs don't care about the game/they love humans." How about you actually look at the 4,540,002,017.1102 vers. Patch notes before you assault your keyboards next time. The devs have been balancing this game JUST to nerf Humans, they've been doing it ever since the Ice Age update. They've been adding debuffs that NO OTHER CLASS CAN GET. Examples being debuffs like depression and psychosis which is so fucking annoying that MOST PLAYERS ACTIVELY RAGE QUIT FOR ANOTHER CLASS, and if you don't rage quit it has the chance to permanently add the confusion ailement to your character which MASSIVELY decreases your INT(Yes the one stat you low tiers complain SO much about) VIT, STR , and it causes you to start griefing other humans. THEN you got your starting areas, which the humans you complain about are RESTRICTED TO. The only time you'll find a human is when you roam into their areas, and even if they roam into yours they will actively try to avoid you. Besides let's face it, the Human players pretty much nerfed themselves, they don't build like they used to. The heavy and hard hitting hardy humans that were prevalent in past updates are practically gone now (And the ones that still exist don't use INT based equipment). Even the humans who attempt to build like the ones before are weaker and restricted to their starting areas. The "Mammoth Hunter" subclass no longer exists. "OH B-BUT, THEY STILL HAVE THE H-H-HUNTER SUBCLASS." Get the fuck out of my face with that. If you low-tier scrubs were actually good at the game hunters wouldn't be a problem. They are LITERALLY the squishiest subset of "STR" build humans IN THE GAME. They have very little STR (Relying on their equipment to make up for it), their VIT is laughable, their SPD stat is a joke, and they aren't even that stealthy. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is hit them a few times in the head, bite them, fucking SIT ON THEM and they're done. Bear and Mtn Lion builds have NO EXCUSE for losing to one of them, and Deers need only to open their eyes and look. The only "Good" Human builds nowadays are the ones used to pvp other human builds, that's it. So stop complaining, because the closest experience you'll get interacting with a human player is going to be like when BAer_69 griefed Mizz Kayak grrl on the PvE woodlands area. Besides, human players are the least of your troubles. I heard the next patch is going to be massive, like, meta changing massive, so....

Human main here, and I'm here to say that most of the problems humans suffer from are caused by humans. Because humans are non-migratory most of the time, if you suffer a social conflict with somebody you interact with regularly on a personal level (for those of you who aren't a social animal, that's basically losing the effect of socialization) you get all sorts of problems, even debuffs like Emotional Imbalance or Mental Illness in extreme situations. Still, I'd highly recommend being a human. It's got something for everyone, and there's some incredibly unique gameplay styles available.

Look them up. I may be slighlty exaggerating (It likely does not beat most mammals in IQ tests, it does beat many in certain tests). Portia Fimbriata in particular. Their understanding of spatial awareness exceeds human infants, and some toddlers. They execute plans that take hours to complete, to get to prey they cannot see for hours at a time. While hunting a spitting spider Portia will climb trees over the course of an hour in order to repel on the spiders back, in which they lose sight of the prey most of the duration. Portia even builds webs onto another spider's web in order that the prey spider will wonder onto Portia's web, while the males typically do not build webs. All with half the neurons of a honey bee, and one-trillionth the neurons of a human being.

Hey man, i'm a spider expert. And Black widows normally live in dark places. If your socks weren't in a dark place, then they'll be fine. Trust me, I live in Arizona where there are tons of black widows. And they are more common in the southwestern states. However one kind is found in the some of the northern states, the Northern Widow, and one kind in florida, the red widow.

Let’s not forget the Portia jumping spider. It’s intelligence stat is significantly higher than most other spider subclasses, which gives it a notable advantage when compared to them. Top this with the fact that it hunts and eats most larger camping spiders, and it’s accuracy and mobility (as you mentioned), the Portia’s small size is largely easy to look past. I’d say it also almost deserves S tier. At least A+. This could very well apply to the entire jumping spider subclass, but I just like to point out the potential in the Portia.
