I remember when Vivi was really little and she would go hug the other babies when they would cry. She would also go cuddle with them when they were cold. She was a sweetheart from day one . At 2:45 is the video I remember of her . Loving anyone and making sure they were not be sad.

I was already heartbroken over what had happened to Ridgy and now Vivy being gone has just taken the wind out of my sails.🥺 As good a mother as Vivy had shown herself to be I can’t believe she would just up and leave, but the alternative is too much for me to take.😢 I can’t understand why this loving, caring family was treated so horribly. I have loved them from the first time I saw them. Monkey politics sucks a$$! In my vision of a perfect world Grandee and Ridgy would have been the alphas and their whole troop would have been loving and kind. Yes, it is difficult to find an actual reason for her not to be seen any more, and we have to speculate what happened to her. I suspect that she could have ended up as road kill. Bearing in mind someone may know what actually happened, as AM is not the only person to video along Monkey Hill. Perhaps one of the feeders may have seen or knows something.

​@@michaelhearn3052 I doubt very much that she is road kill. She probably is on the periphery of another group, having been told that she is not welcome from Bossy's family and other allies of Bossy. It may be hard for her to be ostracized, not sure how she can survive without her family. But Grady is a big boy now, he doesn't rely on her as he did. Maybe she went with a male somewhere to have a new baby? Wherever she is, we wish her well.

Watching Vivy groom mom, Ridgy just looks awful. Her fall from grace was total and complete. What should she do now? It must be a shock to go from a queen to a slave in a few short weeks. Now Viv is a mom and Ridgy is a granny, but she has no spark in her eyes and you know Vivy has probably been looking forward to mom getting excited about her grand youngin'. But her eyes/eye is dull lifeless and unmoved, just blank . So now Vivy has done everything she can do. Bringing her new baby, and grooming Ridgy to see her just sit in the throws of utter depression pure sorrow. Just Damn. Now I feel gloomy. I watched your report on Ridgys fall with the final installment reporting her never to return. As always Mr. Arroz you have captured these critters as good if not better than a Discovery channel documentary worthy of what ever little gold statue that denotes excellence.

This has been a very sorrowful yeat for Bossy's troop. The loss of 4 babies, 1 stillborn baby, and now losing Vivy and Ridgy. The loss of Vivy especially hard as she was a fertile female in her prime. Would Vivy just up and leave her family, even her son? She was a loving sister and mom. Did she find a new troop? Would she be accepted? I hope one day, we'll find an answer.

2023 has been the worst year for me as a viewer specially regarding Bossy's troop. I really hope AM is right that Vivy is still alive somewhere maybe she'll show up with a new born baby 2024. It's rare, but not unheard of for females to leave their troop and become drifters. After Ridgy's passing and Vivy's son growing to be independent, she had no reason to stay in a troop where she was doomed to a tarnished social status. It was almost "too" perfect timing, like she was waiting to get everything taken care of before disappearing. I would keep an eye out for her on the roads. Also, probably an unpopular thought, but anyone else think there's a chance Ridgy might have become a real B during her rise to power? It's strange even the nicest families seem to have hated her, but once Vivy started creating a family, they were more lenient towards her. Perhaps, like humans, some become quite awful in power. There are a few cases of an alpha favoring a lower ranked female (didn't it happen to Sally?), but when that alpha leaves, the female disappears back into their previous ranking without issue. The fact that everyone seemed to hold a fierce grudge against Ridgy might imply that there was more going on than AM could capture in just the hour or two he saw them a week. Also, the fact that she seemed to value status over her own family says a lot as a primate, js Edit: I wrote this before AM said it, but I'm glad he agrees that Vivy is obviously still alive

To seperate a child from their family and to raise him isolated would doom him to never becoming accepted into a troop when he gets older. Well crap AM. You made me cry. Vivy looks so much like Grandee. She has his facial features, but especially his nose. It should surprise none of us that it was Reddy and her family that treated Ridgey and Viv with some modicum of empathy and respect within the hierarchy, despite the fall from grace. Vivy lost her father and then her mother much too early. She stepped up and became the matriarch of the family much too soon and did a fine job. Grady must have been out of his mind for a while after she left. Perhaps he survived and thrived because he was a boy and less bonded than a female baby would be. Thank goodness he had his siblings and his aunts. VIVY ♥️

The wounds on Ridgy in the old video " Downfall of a pseudo-matriarch " were not fresh, a majority of those were at least a day to two old. Even though we saw Haggy's family hound and nag her for a short time in the beginning, I cannot say for sure they were responsible for those wounds. Anyone in the upper echelon who had long held a grudge against Haggy and her family could have done that. I am only there at most for 2 -3 hours every week, I can barely get a glimpse of what happens in their life. I think it would be unfair to point my finger at a particular individual or family being responsible for something with no actual evidence of such.

It is strange that Vivy would disappear 2 months after her Mum and no signs of wounds to suggest she was getting bullied. Maybe she was just sick or injured. Maybe a bad miscarriage? I know they are hardy but some must die from some illnesses as we have seen with some of the babies.
