It took me three days before I would actually watch this video.😭 spirit was one of a kind along with her pantaloons that we all teased about and the Upclose picking at the camera and her squawking and grabbing at mom and dad‘s legs when the food came in. And let’s not forget Ebert the non-fertile egg that she would rest your head on and protect. Yes, you can say that I deeply miss her as I’m sure a lot of other viewers do as well. Spirit is a product of Jackie and shadow so I know she will be strong and will be a great eagle mom.🙏🏻😘❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love this video so much. I discovered Jackie & Shadow in 2023 and have been hooked ever since. I missed Spirit, but this compilation of videos is so beautiful and moving I feel like I was a part of her journey from hatchling to fledgling. I've been following the FOBBV channel for a month or so now, and have been watching and learning about Jackie and Shadow, BB eagle history and their behavior, and the amazing life that they share. Wow. Stunning footage, excellent choreography and a truly fitting choice of music. Seeing young Spirit clinging to Jackie during those bitter, windy, snowy nights brought tears to my eyes. I don't know why. I had trouble sleeping last winter and would often check in during the wee hours to see how Mum and baby were coping. Somehow it gave me peace knowing they were together - mother's strong protective instincts and the not so small "baby" seeking protection, warmth and comfort. Father standing guard nearby. Stalwart Jackie - and the ever-patient, gallant provider Shadow - created and raised - a fierce, strong-willed girl. Just look at her determination to learn to fly! Like most of us, I was saddened to see her depart the nest, yet confident she'll be just fine on her own, given her lineage and upbringing. Survival of the fittest.
