2 unforgettable memories of Murali karthik in my childhood: Inzamams wicket in 5th odi of ind vs pak in pak.which changed the course of the match and we won the series(not to forget Sachin took that amazing catch at the boundary line off muralis bowling.) Ind vs aus 3rd test in Mumbai.already lost the series but we were defending 104/107 and murali was absolutely amazing in that innings.and we won that match.

Happy to hear karthik talk about his under 13 cricket days. Had the fortune of spending time playing with karthik going to the same club at quaid e millath madrasa grounds under coach iqbal. karthik was the star player in the club - very good bat and left arm fast bowler. He also had this chest up alpha posture always - probably inspired jordan peterson's 12 rules of life too haha. Imagine kids spending may june july playing cricket in madras summer carrying heavy kit bags around! Probably weather was milder those days! Much less pollution and crowds those days in Mount road Madras!

I love when cricketers narrate their stories. I could vividly remember those days when Sourav Ganguly was the Captain of India and Murali Kartik used bowl at Inzamam-ul-Haq. I honestly used to watch with a lot of trepidation because Kartik came around as someone who always gives a nice flight (something Inzamam would jump on) and believes in deceiving the batsmen in their flight packaged with an occassional but very effective arm-ball. Inzamam smahsed a few but eventually, Kartik used to pick up wickets no matter who the opposition was. He would have been a regular feature in the Indian team if he was not competing in the same era as Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. The down-to-earth thinking of Mr. Kartik contemplating whether or not he deserved a place in the field is very much in line with the Inzamam - Kartik battle where Mr. Kartik started as an underdog and had the last laugh as Sachin Tendulkar managed an unbelievable catch at long-on! I am no one to make suggestions here. But Mr. Ashwin, besides your witty comments, astute knowledge about the game, supreme presence of mind and complete bag of tricks with the ball, you are almost a social activist and an influencer because you are cultivating optimism and propogating social welfare with or without intention. We are all deeply indebted and proud of not just your on-field contributions but also your off-field contributions through your KZbin channel. It would be more useful and helpful to the people if the audio is enhanced just a little bit because there are millions of people following the wise words and never-ending stories of cricket and life and rightfully so. It would be so sad if some thoughts are lost for this reason. Please consider using a microphone of your choice. I have added some names to help you get an idea. (I am not getting paid from anyone for this). Blue Snowball Blue Snowball ICE Blue Yeti Rode Podcaster Rode NT-USD Mini Wishing you many more successful endeavours as a cricketer! Thanks for all that you do. I am learning a lot and enjoying a lot watching the contents of your channel.

Dear Mr. Manikantan Ramachandran, I have always been hurt that the name of the great Vinoo Mankad has been irrevocably associated in a very negative way to the act of legitimately running out a non- striker. I have always wanted to write to crcketers like Ashwin, Murali Karthik, Kapil Dev ( Peter Kirsten run out) to start a movement to vociferously object to people who refer to this with negativity and also link it with the great Trojan warrior of Indian cricket Vinoo Mankad.

Many say a warning should be given for a mankad. My question is why should a bowler give a warning .don’t a batsman know he should be with in the crease before the ball is bowled ? When a law is made in any sport ,you should follow it to play the sport . I don’t know from where “Spirit of Cricket .” Comes from . Does it mean Favouring a batsman even when he is done a mistake ?🤔🤔
@revanthsriraj57393 жыл бұрын
Yes, the bowler's crease is there for a reason, if bowlers crosses an inch and gets a wicket it's called a no ball, then why should batsman cross the crease, that too a foot more!
@balaji9823 жыл бұрын
According to rules, batsman can run even if the fielders throw it's batsman bat, but why do batman's don't take single during that time? If you can't understand this, you will never understand why cricket is a gentleman's game

If warning should be given then batsman should also warn the bowler that he will hit 6 or 4 next ball

@@balaji982 I can’t understand what you are saying.can you tell properly please
@balaji9823 жыл бұрын
@@ajithkarthikeyathota3874 I meant, you are saying according to rules mankad is correct so bowlers can do mankad. And same rules say batsman are allowed to run even if the fielders throw hits batsman bat while they are running and it results in overthrow. But during those times no batsman take the extra single. If they do the whole cricket world will call them as cheat. These are the reasons why cricket is still a gentleman's game.
